Violet Violence - Opening

While the crew and Ezecrain are not able to find the Crystal of Beginnings in the con men's base, they do find Salria, the village leader's daughter. Salria informs the group that the crystal is somewhere on Sharom Island—the land of monsters.

The Crystal of Beginnings, in all its violet splendor, has long upheld the peace in the village of amethysts.
But that peace turned to war when unknown forces manipulated two sects of the village.
What's more, the whereabouts of the stolen Crystal of Beginnings remain a mystery.
Ezecrain learns of the catastrophe that befell his village and begins his pursuit of those responsible.
In his chase, Ezecrain meets (Captain) and company. Through his amethysts, Ezecrain learns he must travel with them to reach his goal.
Ezecrain: My amethysts point to an unscrupulous large-scale organization in the western skies.
Vyrn: Maybe they're the guys who made off with the crystal from your village.
Ezecrain finds the location of the men he pursues. Together with (Captain) and crew, Ezecrain prepares for a confrontation.
With help from the local authorities, (Captain) and crew begin raiding the sinister group's base.
Con Artist: Agh!
Ezecrain: Feel the rage of the man whose crystal and peace you stole.
Con Artist: Agh...
C-crystal?
Con Artist: The purple thing? It's not here anymore!
Con Artist: All we did was help move the thing anyway! It all started with the villagers fightin' it out!
Ezecrain: ...
What?
Guard: Skyfarers, your assistance is needed. There is a group further down that we cannot handle alone.
Ezecrain: Damn...
Con Artist: Gah!
Ezecrain: Move quickly!
Vyrn: E-Ezecrain's really on edge...
Lyria: Who can blame him... If your home was destroyed, could you act any different...
Vyrn: I guess... you're right...
The crew rushes after Ezecrain.
Thanks to the cooperation between the crew and local authorities, they successfully place the thieves in custody.
Guard: We appreciate all the help you gave us. Now then, there was something these men stole from you.
Guard: We will take them into custody, but you may continue searching their things. May you find what you seek.
Ezecrain: You have our thanks.
Vyrn: We'll help out too! The Crystal of Beginnings is a huge purple crystal, right?
Lyria: I'm sure we'll know it when we see it! Let's look for it together.
The crew searches for the Crystal of Beginnings... with no luck finding it.
But there is something else.
Lyria: T-there's a girl in this storeroom!
Ezecrain: Is she also a member of their group?
Lyria leads the crew to the storeroom where the girl lies on the floor.
Ezecrain: !
???: Zzz... Zzz...
Lyria: Is she unconscious?
Wait... I think she's just asleep.
Lyria: Um... Hello?
Lyria lightly rocks the girl and she awakens.
???: Hmm... Umm, who are... you?
???: And where am I?
Ezecrain: Salria!
???: ...?
???: Uncle Ezzy!
???: Is it really you?
Vyrn: Huh? You know her?
Ezecrain: She's the daughter of the village head.
Salria: And he's my uncle. And Uncle Ezzy also teaches me divination. An—
Ezecrain: Salria. Are you hurt? Can you explain what you were doing here?
Salria: I'm okay.
Salria: But why was I here...
Salria: I was there when the Crystal of Beginnings was stolen... and then I was taken too...
Ezecrain: So someone wanted to know how to use the crystal.
Salria: I think so!
Salria: Uncle Ezzy, we have to get it back!
Vyrn: Yeah, we're trying... But we've looked all over this place and can't find it.
Salria: It's not here anymore. They already moved it elsewhere...
Salria: All of the thieves were talking about moving it to a place called Sharom Island.
Ezecrain: Sharom...
Lyria: Ezecrain, do you know that island?
Ezecrain: Yes... It is an island known for the overflowing number of monsters.
Lyria: M-monsters!
While the Crystal of Beginnings is yet to be recovered, the crew finds Salria.
With Salria in tow, the crew now set their sights on the island of monsters where the Crystal of Beginnings awaits them.

Violet Violence - Chapter 1: A Sheltered Woman's Melancholy - Episode 1

Meanwhile on Sharom Island, Constance tries to escape from Cephalomancy Castle, but Dorothy and Claudia catch her.

Some time before the crew raids the base of the trickster organization...
A woman on Sharom Island is careful to hide herself while trying to escape Cephalomancy Castle.
???: ...
???: There's no one around...
???: Tiptoe, tiptoe, tiptoe...
???: Aah!
Claudia: Queen Constance... Where, may I ask, do you think you're going?
Constance: C-Claudia! What are you doing here?
Claudia: My queen... I'm in charge of cleaning every part of this castle.
Claudia: More to the point, where are you going?
Claudia: Don't tell me...
Dorothy: Claudia! We've got trouble!
Dorothy: The queen left another letter saying she'll be leaving...
Dorothy: Huh? Queen Constance...
???: ...
Dorothy: Stop hiding behind Claudia! I can see you!
Claudia: Would you please stop using me as a hiding place?
Constance: Please don't hurt me. Pretty please! Let this one go!
Dorothy: No one is letting anything or anyone go! We didn't search long and hard for you just to have you run off again!
Claudia and Dorothy had previously met the crew while in search of their master.
Once they had found Queen Constance, they returned to their home on Sharom Island.
Claudia: Sigh... The Queen's constant escapes are so frustrating.
Constance: Then don't come looking for me! That's what I wrote in my letter!
Dorothy: We have to look for you!
Dorothy: How can we leave you alone when you're a scaredy-cat, shy, and a crybaby?
Constance: Well, I... I'm sorry for being such a burden. I should just go throw myself in the trash...
Claudia: We'd prefer you just not run away from home.
Dorothy: Time to go back to your room.
Constance: But why...
Claudia: Tsk-tsk...
Claudia shrugs her shoulders as Dorothy drags Constance along.

Violet Violence - Chapter 1: A Sheltered Woman's Melancholy - Episode 2

While Constance is being lectured about running away, a young steward interjects with news of monsters going wild. Dorothy and Claudia are sent to investigate these reports.

Constance: Sigh...
Can I just leave one more time?
Dorothy & Claudia: No.
Constance: Mhh...
Steward: Dorothy and Claudia are just worried about you, my queen.
Steward: While it's true that Sharom Island is a place of peace, the other islands see us as a breeding ground for monsters.
Steward: If anyone were to find out that's where you come from, who knows what they would do to you.
Constance: But... I just can't do this...
Steward: Don't say that about yourself.
Steward: Dorothy, fetch some tea.
Constance: Eek!
Constance: I-I'm sorry! I'm sorry!
Steward: What is that noise?
Young Steward: Forgive me, Your Majesty, but your attention is needed. There is something afoot on many parts of the island...
Constance: A-afoot?
Constance: W-what have I stepped on this time?
Dorothy: Ugh!
Calm down.
Claudia: What exactly... is happening? I expect it's more than just the common brawl at the bars...
Claudia: Because if you've come here to bother the queen about such trivial matters...
Dorothy: I'll sterilize you. Teehee!
Dorothy points her flamed weapon at the young steward.
Young Steward: I would never...
Young Steward: Reports say there is an unusual number of people acting violently.
Constance: V-violently...
Young Steward: Normally, people direct their anger at a particular person, but in this case the acts appear indiscriminate.
Claudia: Hmm... Completely irrational...
Dorothy: Maybe they're just releasing stress?
Constance: Regardless, those acts won't be tolerated. There's also the fact that it's happening in many places...
Steward: Yes... We cannot let this go on. Claudia, investigate what is happening.
Claudia: Of course.
Steward: Take Dorothy with you and check on the towns near the castle first.
Steward: I will dispatch other units as required.
Claudia: Understood.
Dorothy: Hold your horses! If we leave, the queen will try to escape from the castle again...
Constance: Wha—
Steward: Do not worry. I will personally watch over the queen's every move.
Dorothy: Then we're off! Teehee!
Dorothy: See you later.
And so Claudia and Dorothy set off to check on the unruly monsters in town.

Violet Violence - Chapter 1: A Sheltered Woman's Melancholy - Episode 3

Salria tells the crew of how her village broke into two factions that went to war. Ezecrain's resolve to get the crystal back strengthens and the crew set out for Sharom Island to retrieve what was stolen.

The crew take Salria on board their ship and listen to her story.
Ezecrain: When I arrived on the island, the battle had already been fought.
Ezecrain: Perhaps because it was a civil war, no one would tell me what had happened.
Ezecrain: What do you know, Salria?
Salria: It's all a little hazy, so I don't remember everything...
Salria: My father didn't want to tell me anything either...
Salria: All I know is, two sides of the village fought...
Salria: So many people died... So many...
Lyria: How awful...
Vyrn: Why were two sides fighting... What made them hurt each other?
Salria: I can tell you... They were arguing over how to use the Crystal of Beginnings.
Ezecrain: That must have been what ultimately allowed the Crystal of Beginnings to be stolen by the con men.
Salria: I'm sorry I don't know more, Uncle Ezzy.
Ezecrain: No one's expecting every detail of the events. Don't worry about it.
Salria: Okay...
Salria: ...
Lyria: Umm...
Lyria: We haven't introduced ourselves yet! It's nice to meet you, Salria.
Salria: Oh, you're right.
Salria: My name is Salria, but you can call me Sally.
Lyria: Cool, Sally. My name is Lyria.
This is (Captain) and Vyrn.
Salria: Lyria, (Captain), and Vyrn! Got it!
Vyrn: Nice to meet ya!
Vyrn: So Mr. Chains, you're really going to Sharom?
Ezecrain: Of course. I will retrieve the Crystal of Beginnings.
Salria: I-I'm going too! Even if I can't do much, I have to go. I'm the daughter of the head of the village!
Lyria: Sally...
Vyrn: What about you, (Captain)?
  1. Of course we're going!
  2. I wanna see Sharom Island!

Choose: Of course we're going!
Vyrn: Haha! That's the spirit! Let's help Mr. Chains.
Ezecrain: No one asked for your help...

Choose: I wanna see Sharom Island!
Ezecrain: You're a curious one...
Lyria: An island full of monsters... We should be careful.
Continue 1
Salria: Everyone... Thank you for your help.
Ezecrain: I will not complain about everyone's good-hearted natures, but... be sure you know the difference between helping and hindering.
Salria: Uncle Ezzy...
Vyrn: Mr. Chain's as rude as ever.
Vyrn: Oh well, we're used to it already.
Salria: I'm sorry my uncle is like that.
Salria: I... think he means well.
Ezecrain: Scoff...
Lyria: Hmm... Wasn't Sharom Island...
Lyria: Where Dorothy and Claudia live?
Vyrn: Oh yeah! You're right!
Vyrn: Never woulda guessed they're from an island that dangerous...
Lyria: Maybe we'll get the chance to see them.
And so the crew sets sail for Sharom Island.

Violet Violence - Chapter 1: A Sheltered Woman's Melancholy - Episode 4

On the way to Sharom Island, Ezecrain finds Salria sleepwalking. He assumes that the shock of the war has made her a sleepwalker. The village war has claimed not only the lives of the lost but even minds of the living.

Set to arrive on Sharom Island the next morning, the crew goes to bed.
Lyria: Zzz... Zzz...
Salria: ...
In the middle of the night, Salria, in a dazed state, begins walking the halls.
Salria: ...
Ezecrain: Salria, what are you doing?
Salria: Hmm?
Salria: Huh? Uncle Ezzy?
Salria: W-what am I doing here?
Ezecrain: Were you sleepwalking?
Get to bed quickly. Do you remember the way?
Salria: Yeah...
Salria: I hope I don't have hypersomnia or something...
Ezecrain: Hypersomnia... A big word for a small girl.
Ezecrain: (Was she always a sleepwalker?)
Ezecrain: (She had seen the villagers kill each other...)
Ezecrain: (Perhaps the sleepwalking is a symptom of the damage to her mental state...)
Salria: Yawn...
Salria: Uncle Ezzy, aren't you going to sleep?
Ezecrain: Don't worry about me. I'll get some rest after I've made my rounds.
Salria: Okay. Good night, Uncle Ezzy.
Ezecrain escorts the staggering Salria to her bed.
Ezecrain and Salria demonstrate that wounds of the mind borne from war cut deeper than any sword.

Violet Violence - Chapter 2: Sharom Island - Episode 1

Ezecrain dreams of Baldir, a man who once shared his village and who he fought with constantly. Ezecrain wonders why he dreams of him and how Baldir lost his life in the war.

(Captain) and crew head for Sharom Island in the dead of night.
The crew decides to rest in turns. Next in line is Ezecrain.
Ezecrain: ...
???: Ezecrain...
Ezecrain: Baldir... How long has it been? What do you want?
Baldir: Do I have to want something to talk to you? Always so stiff.
Ezecrain: ...
Baldir: Are you too busy giving lessons to the village head's daughter? Do you not have time for me?
Ezecrain: Baldir... Let me give you some advice.
Ezecrain: You aren't flawed because you cannot use the crystal.
Ezecrain: You are flawed because you use that as an excuse to do nothing else.
Baldir: ...
Ezecrain: If you have time to kill, do so looking for something you can do.
Baldir: ...
Ezecrain: How exhausting...
Ezecrain: ...
Ezecrain: I was dreaming...
Ezecrain: Baldir... Now that's a person I wasn't expecting to show up in my dreams...
Ezecrain: I think in the war, he lost his life as well.
Ezecrain: Not that it matters anymore...
Ezecrain: ...

Violet Violence - Chapter 2: Sharom Island - Episode 2

Once the crew arrives on Sharom Island, Salria attempts to divine the location of the Crystal of Beginnings. For some reason, the amethysts only point to Salria, so the crew has no option but to head for the castle far in the distance.

Vyrn: Is that Sharom Island up ahead?
Ezecrain: Without a doubt.
Vyrn: It's huge... It's gonna be tough looking for the Crystal of Beginnings on that island.
Lyria: We need to be careful of the monsters too.
Lyria: Sally, make sure you stay close to (Captain).
Salria: O-okay! I will!
The Grandcypher lands on Sharom Island and the crew sets out.
Salria: Uncle Ezzy, how about you divine the location of the Crystal of Beginnings?
Salria: I'm sure you could find it really fast!
Vyrn: Good idea! Mr. Chains usually hits the mark spot on!
Ezecrain: I thought you would try your divination, Salria...
Salria: I... I'm not confident enough...
Lyria: Sally, you can use the amethysts to divine too?
Salria: Well, yes. Uncle Ezzy taught me how, so I can kinda do it...
Ezecrain: Ability is measured in practice. Try.
Salria: O-okay... Here goes!
Salria: Concentrate... Concentrate...
Salria: Amethysts... Guide me!
The amethysts Salria grips in her hand begin to point.
Salria: Hmm... This way?
But as Salria moves, so do the amethysts.
Salria: Umm...
Lyria: I think they're pointing to you.
Salria: Huh? But why?
The amethysts continue to point at Salria.
Salria: Uncle Ezzy...
Ezecrain: Sigh...
Lend me that.
Ezecrain: Amethysts... Guide us!
Vyrn: Look! His chains are moving...
Vyrn: Wait... They're still pointing at Salria.
Salria: What? How could that be?
Salria: I doubt Uncle Ezzy could mess up a divination...
Salria: Okay, I know all signs point to me, but I have no idea where the Crystal of Beginnings is...
Ezecrain: Could it be the crystal's fault...
Vyrn: Hmm? Whatcha mean?
Ezecrain: If something has happened to the Crystal of Beginnings, then it's affecting the ability to divine.
Lyria: Really?
Salria: We can divine with the amethysts because of the power we borrow from the Crystal of Beginnings.
Salria: If something happens to it, then our power is affected.
Ezecrain: That almost never happens though...
Salria: Exactly, the crystal being taken from the village is something that almost never happens.
Vyrn: If we can't divine it, then let's go looking for it! Right?
Salria: Yeah! Just talking about it isn't going to help.
Lyria: How about we head to that castle over there?
Ezecrain: A castle? You think people live on this island?
Vyrn: Who knows. Let's go check it out in the meantime.
The crew begins walking towards the faraway castle.
Salria: ...
Did that bush just...
Monster: Gra-ooh!
Salria: Aah!
Vyrn: Get back, Sally! Let's go, (Captain).

Violet Violence - Chapter 2: Sharom Island - Episode 3

While the crew fight off monsters, Lyria and Ezecrain both believe the monsters are acting strangely. Ezecrain warns not to have pity for them as they encounter more waves.

Monster: Grr...
Salria: That scared me...
Salria: Is everyone okay?
Lyria: ...
Salria: Lyria, are you hurt?
Lyria: Huh?
Lyria: Oh, I'm fine. Thank you, Sally.
Lyria: It's just... There was something different about that monster...
Salria: Different?
Lyria: It was like... it was drunk...
Salria: Do monsters drink?
Ezecrain: Who knows.
Ezecrain: But that monster was moving strangely. In that state, it'd probably even hurt itself.
Salria: I wonder how it ended up like that...
Ezecrain: Pitying something you can't communicate with won't help us.
Ezecrain: We'll just have to eliminate any more rabid beasts that come our way.
Monster: Gra-ooh!
Vyrn: Cripes! Speak of the monster!

Violet Violence - Chapter 2: Sharom Island - Episode 4

The third time they find a monster, it talks and declares that monsters on Sharom Island despise fighting. The crew listen to the monster but do not let their guard down.

Monster: Graw...
Salria: Phew... Good thing it left.
Vyrn: Another one?
Monster: ...
Ezecrain: Tch!
Monster: Aah! Hold on! Please!
Ezecrain: ...!
Lyria: Did the monster...
Salria: Just speak?
Kind Monster: Yes, I did! Almost all monsters on Sharom Island can talk.
Lyria: Wha...
Vyrn: I've never heard of anything like that!
Ezecrain: This is a surprise...
Ezecrain: (Then again, why can Vyrn speak?)
Salria: But... the last monster...
Kind Monster: There's something weird happening! Whatever they did, please forgive them.
Kind Monster: Please put away your weapons. The monsters on this island hate fighting.
Salria: They... hate fighting?
(Captain) and company trade confused glances at the surprising revelation.
They listen to its story, but all wonder whether they should trust it or not.

Violet Violence - Chapter 3: The Island of Monsters - Episode 1

In search of the Crystal of Beginnings, the crew lands on Sharom Island where they are met by a talking monster who hates to fight. The monster offers to guide the crew to Cephalomancy Castle where they may gain information about the crystal.

The crew arrives at Sharom Island in search of the stolen Crystal of Beginnings.
On the island, the crew meets a monster that can speak and hates fighting. They lend him an ear.
Kind Monster: On this island, small flowers blossom.
Lyria: Oh yeah!
Lyria: I saw those pretty flowers.
Kind Monster: Right? Those flowers release a pollen that has the power to calm.
Kind Monster: That's why the monsters on the island don't fight.
Kind Monster: Monsters who hear about the flowers come here to live in peace.
Salria: Really now? That's neat.
Kind Monster: May I ask why you're here?
Kind Monster: If you didn't know about the flowers, then you didn't come here to settle down, right?
Salria: We're actually looking for something. You haven't seen a big purple crystal around here, have you?
Salria: It's very important to my village. The thing is, somebody stole and brought it here.
Kind Monster: Hmm... A purple crystal... No, I haven't seen anything like that.
Salria: That's too bad...
Kind Monster: Oh! But other monsters might have seen it.
Kind Monster: Monsters are gathering around Cephalomancy Castle—the queen's castle. Why don't you go and ask around there?
Lyria: The queen?
Kind Monster: Yes, the queen! She's kind. I'm sure she'll help you.
Kind Monster: There's a road that will lead you there. Come with me. I'll take you.
Salria: Wow! Thanks for all the help!
Vyrn: It feels kinda weird to have a monster be nice to us.
Lyria: Haha. Isn't it wonderful that we've made friends with a monster?
Salria: It is! I'd rather make friends than fight any day!
(Captain) nods and follows the monster leading them onward.

Violet Violence - Chapter 3: The Island of Monsters - Episode 2

Ezecrain distrusts the helpful monster and the queen Sharom Island is ruled by. Lyria and Vyrn remind Ezecrain that they have no proof that the queen is an accomplice to the theft as they all follow the talking monster.

Kind Monster: Come now. This way!
Lyria: Okay!
Ezecrain: ...
Salria: Uncle Ezzy, what's wrong?
Ezecrain: I was wondering why our enemies brought the Crystal of Beginnings here.
Salria: Umm...
Ezecrain: Why bring it to the city of monsters? There must be some special reason.
Ezecrain: Or maybe it's something simple like having an accomplice here.
Salria: An... accomplice?
Ezecrain: We cannot assume that all monsters on this island are good-natured.
Salria: You... might be right...
Ezecrain: Don't trust the queen or any of her servants.
Kind Monster: Do you suspect the queen?
Ezecrain: I didn't say suspect. I said trust.
Kind Monster: But the queen is so kind. She would never help any thief.
Ezecrain: Let's just hope this was petty theft...
Ezecrain: Do you know the pain of returning home only to find that everything has changed?
Ezecrain: To find the people that you grew up with took each other's life... So many lives were taken.
Ezecrain: Whoever is responsible will not receive any mercy from me.
Salria: ...
Ezecrain: I don't know what kind of person the queen is, but I know she commands power.
Ezecrain: She could easily have the crystal brought here and have it hidden. I would be a fool not to suspect her first.
Vyrn: D-don't get so worked up, Mr. Chains.
Vyrn: We still don't know if the queen had anything to do with what happened to your village.
Lyria: Exactly. Let's go get some answers!
Kind Monster: I didn't know... I apologize...
Ezecrain: ...
Kind Monster: The queen really is... kind though.
Kind Monster: I think you'll understand once you meet her...

Violet Violence - Chapter 3: The Island of Monsters - Episode 3

In the town near the castle, the crew encounter Dorothy and Claudia who claim they don't know anything about the Crystal of Beginnings. Ezecrain suspects the queen, and so the crew decides to visit the castle to speak with the queen directly.

Lyria: Wow! The view around here is incredible!
Kind Monster: This here's the castle town.
Kind Monster: The streets look deserted today...
Salria: Really?
Kind Monster: It's usually a little more lively...
???: Master!
Lyria: H-hey! Dorothy!
Dorothy runs wildly down the town street and grabs onto (Captain).
Dorothy not in crew

Dorothy previously journeyed about in search of her queen, Constance.
She happened upon (Captain) while talking to a shopkeeper about her missing persons search.
Dorothy: It must have been fate.
Dorothy: We just sort of clicked. It was incredible...
Dorothy: I was traveling in search of the runaway lady of the castle...
Dorothy: And I got separated from Claudia, who was searching with me, before I knew it.
Dorothy: But now I know that everything was just leading up to our meeting, Master. I suppose I should be grateful!
Dorothy calls (Captain) "Master" and is extremely loyal if slightly irregular.
When she finally finds her queen, this passionate maid tearfully parts from the crew and returns to Sharom Island.
Dorothy: Who woulda thought you'd come just to visit me! I was so happy I just jumped into your arms!
Salria: Oh! She was in the crew...
Claudia: My name is Claudia. I'm pleased to make your acquaintance.
Claudia: Hee-hee...
Salria: Aah!
Claudia surprises Salria with her stealth and sudden introduction.
Lyria: Hey! Claudia, have you been well?
Claudia not in crew

Claudia was searching for the queen with Dorothy when they became separated.
When Claudia first met the crew, she found (Captain) too young to be a captain and rejected them.
But as soon as she laid eyes on Lyria, her attitude instantly flipped and she requested to join the crew.
Claudia: I've changed my mind. (Captain), would you let me travel with you after all?
Claudia: But don't get the wrong idea. It's not like I have any ulterior motives related to that beautiful young woman or anything like that... Hee-hee...
Claudia: People have been fascinated with beautiful women since ancient times...
Claudia: So my tastes are not at all unusual. You could even call them boring.
While she held reservations for some of the crew members, she was loyal and played large parts in the cleaning.
Though reluctant to part with the crew so soon, she too returned to Sharom Island after she and Dorothy found the queen.
Claudia: It's so nice to see you again, Lyria. I hope you've been a very good girl.
Lyria: I have! I'm so happy to see you again.
Claudia: That magnificent smile still sets my bosom ablaze... And who is this adorable young lady?
Salria: Umm... I'm Salria. Nice to meet you.
Claudia: ...!
Salria's smile stuns Claudia and she staggers.
Lyria: Claudia! Are you okay?
Salria: Claudia, hold onto me!
Claudia: Beautiful women everywhere... Tell me... Is this heaven?
Ezecrain: This is monster capital.
Ezecrain: Have you finished with your warm reunion?
Claudia: I apologize for my behavior. (Captain), what brings you to Sharom Island?
Dorothy: Huh? They came to see me, right?
Vyrn: We're glad we got a chance to catch up, but we've got another reason for being here.
Dorothy: Really? That makes me a little sad.
Salria: We're looking for a big purple thing called the Crystal of Beginnings. It was stolen from our village.
Claudia: The Crystal of Beginnings... I haven't seen any such thing.
Dorothy: I haven't either... About how big is it?
Salria: It's just a little bit bigger than I am.
Salria: The width is about this much, I'd say. Probably...
Claudia: If it was that big, then someone must have seen it being carried. Let's look for an eyewitness.
Ezecrain: Let's hope we can find one willing to talk.
Claudia: What do you mean?
Ezecrain: It's possible anyone who's seen it may have been coerced into staying hush.
Ezecrain: Or they might even choose to stay silent—something all the more likely if the perpetrator is someone of power.
Claudia: Someone of power... Are you implying the queen?
Dorothy: The queen wouldn't allow theft! She'd never steal from anyone!
Ezecrain: As long as there's a chance, no monster or person on this island can be trusted.
Claudia: How impolite!
Sensing the sour mood, (Captain) interjects.
  1. Let's just go talk to the queen.
  2. We shouldn't be suspicious without cause.

Choose: Let's just go talk to the queen.
Dorothy: Master's right! Let's go talk with the queen first. You'll see—I promise.
Dorothy: She'd never steal anything from anyone...

Choose: We shouldn't be suspicious without cause.
Salria: (Captain) is right, Uncle Ezzy.
Ezecrain: ...
Continue 1
Salria: Claudia, Dorothy, I apologize for my uncle.
Claudia: Don't worry your beautiful little head. Those words are more than enough for us.
Dorothy: I'll take Master (Captain) to the see the queen!
Lyria: Really? Thank you!
Claudia: We've just finished our assignment here in any case. Let's be off.
The crew thanks the monster who had led them thus far and then sets off with Claudia and Dorothy.

Violet Violence - Chapter 3: The Island of Monsters - Episode 4

The crew meets the queen, who claims unfamiliarity with the crystal. She asks if the crew's arrival is connected to the rampaging monsters on her island. After the crew is cleared of suspicion, the queen's armor begins an assault and the crew responds in kind.

Claudia and Dorothy bring in the crew for an audience with the queen.
Salria: Wow... What a pretty building!
Claudia: You're too kind, Salria.
Salria: This is the first time I've seen a real castle. It's even got the big portraits and everything.
Ezecrain: Calm yourself, Salria. We are meeting a queen. Act appropriately.
Salria: I'm sorry, Uncle Ezzy.
Dorothy: You don't have to worry about that. The queen isn't uptight at all. She hates that kinda stuff.
Lyria: Really?
Dorothy: Yup! You don't have to worry.
Steward: Cough...
Steward: Be silent! The queen will be here soon.
Queen: Hello, everyone. I heard you've come to speak with me.
Ezecrain: That's right.
Ezecrain: Let me be direct.
Ezecrain: Do you know anything of the Crystal of Beginnings that was stolen from our village?
Queen: The Crystal of Beginnings?
Salria: If you know anything, please tell us. It's very important to our village.
Queen: I'm sorry... I can't say I do.
Salria: Oh, okay...
Queen: Now I have something to ask you.
Salria: Something to ask us?
Salria: Umm... Okay. We'll do our best to answer.
Ezecrain: Salria, be careful of what you say.
Salria: But, Uncle Ezzy...
Steward: Silence. The queen speaks.
Queen: I have a very big problem...
Queen: On this island, the Sharom flowers bring us peace which we have kept for very long.
Queen: Recently, however, the flowers have lost their power—resulting in violent monsters appearing on this island.
Lyria: Gasp!
Those must be the monsters who attacked us.
Claudia: Under the queen's orders, we were in town looking for the source of the chaos.
Vyrn: I see!
Vyrn: That sounds like a huge problem.
Queen: Would you... happen to know why the monsters here are behaving so irrationally?
Ezecrain: Scoff...
Those who question are now questioned...
Queen: No one on this island benefits from an outbreak of violence. That means whoever is pulling the strings must be from the outside.
Salria: U-umm! We just got here...
Salria: We didn't even know the monsters could speak, so...
Dorothy: Master (Captain)'s crew would never hurt anyone! Not even a monster!
Claudia: We can vouch for them. Please trust us.
Queen: ...
  1. Nod to the queen.

Choose: Nod to the queen.
Queen: I understand. I trust both of you.
Salria: Phew...
Lyria: Great!
Queen: The Crystal of Beginnings... Because finding the source of the outbreak is my top priority, I can't help you with that, but...
Queen: I give you permission to search the island.
Salria: Thank you so much!
Queen: No, it's the least I can do.
The queen attempts to stand, but something stops her.
Claudia: My queen, are you all right?
Queen: I-I... My armor, it's...
Queen: Aah!
Salria: Huh?
The queen rushes from the throne and swings her right arm at Salria.
Ezecrain: ...!
Ezecrain grabs Salria in the nick of time and avoids the deadly blow.
Queen: Are you harmed?
Ezecrain: Tch... So you were pretending all along?
Queen: No! Never! The armor is moving of its own accord!
Dorothy: This is bad! The armor's had some kind of magic cast on it!
Claudia: The magic must be causing the armor to attack.
Vyrn: Attack?
Vyrn: What are we supposed to do?
Claudia: There's only one choice.
Dorothy: Beat it silly!
Queen: Whaaa?
Ezecrain: A simple plan to say the least. Are you ready?
Dorothy: I feel bad for the queen, but we don't have a choice. Teehee.
Claudia: (Captain), we will guard the door so the armor doesn't leave the castle.
Dorothy: All set now!
Dorothy: Give that armor a good smack down!
Queen: Eeep!
And so the crew engages the armor and the queen within.

Violet Violence - Chapter 4: The Queen of Woe - Episode 1

The crew manages to stop the armor and save the queen. She explains the primal beast Sharom has the power to suppress the urge to fight. Ezecrain suspects that the crystal is somehow affecting Sharom, causing the violent upsurge on the island.

The crew visits the queen of Sharom Island in search of the Crystal of Beginnings.
After the queen grants them permission to search the island, her armor attacks.
The crew battles the armor with the queen inside after Claudia and Dorothy suggest they do so.
Lyria: Do you think the queen's okay?
Claudia: First things first. Let's pull the armor off her.
Constance: Owie...
Vyrn: The queen's a young girl!
Vyrn: We thought you were a wrinkled granny...
Constance: I'm sorry to have disappointed you... I should just go back into the broken armor...
Dorothy: Hey! You shouldn't be moving, Queen Constance! You hit your head!
Salria: Sorry... We didn't have a choice... Uncle Ezzy had to hit you with everything he had.
Lyria: (Captain) couldn't go easy either...
Constance: I'm sorry... I'm sorry...
After some rest, Constance returns to the throne.
Constance: Let me start again.
Constance: My name is Constance and I'm sorry for what happened earlier.
Constance: Sigh...
My armor, the monsters, and the primal beast of Sharom are all acting strangely...
Constance: It's all because I'm not fit to be queen...
Constance: Sob...
Lyria: Huh? There's a primal beast on this island?
Constance: Y-yes... The primal beast of Sharom has the ability to take away the will to fight.
Constance: The flower that blooms here has a similar effect. That's why our monsters live in peace.
Salria: I see!
Lyria: But I don't feel the presence of any primal beast on this island.
Dorothy: Oh! That might be because normally the primal beast on this island is sleeping!
Claudia: Normally? It's said that the primal beast of this island hasn't awoken since the War.
Vyrn: Now that's what I call deep sleep! Though I guess that's why Lyria's having trouble sensing it...
Ezecrain: A primal beast...
Salria: Uncle Ezzy, is something the matter?
Ezecrain: The Crystal of Beginnings can affect the thoughts of people.
Ezecrain: I wonder if it can also affect the thoughts of primal beasts...
Salria: Gasp!
Ezecrain: All of these incidents can't be coincidence. They must be related somehow.
Vyrn: None of this makes sense to me, but...
Vyrn: Is the Crystal of Beginnings really that powerful?
Salria: We... don't actually know...
Ezecrain: The village believed that if its powers were understood, then it would be used for evil. So we forbade any experimentation.
Salria: The crystal was supposedly made during the War.
Salria: It was so long ago that no one knows whether skydwellers or Astrals made it.
Salria: In the village we're only allowed to use amethysts, originally a part of the crystal, to divine.
Lyria: And how exactly do you and Ezecrain divine?
Salria: Uncle Ezzy, can we tell them?
Ezecrain: Yes. We have no reason to hide that from them.
Salria: Okay.
Salria: The crystal has the power to increase our senses.
Salria: In particular, it enhances the sixth
sense–instinct.
Lyria: Instinct?
Salria: Yes. Uncle Ezzy is really good at increasing his instinctual power.
Ezecrain: If the crystal has the ability to affect not only the thoughts of men but also of primal beasts...
Ezecrain: The Crystal of Beginnings may have started affecting this island as soon as it was brought here.
Constance: Th-then maybe if you take the Crystal of Beginnings back with you...
Constance: The monsters on this island will go back to being their gentle selves!
Ezecrain: It's one possibility.
Constance: Even if it's just a chance, if we can save the residents of this island...
Constance: We have to do everything we can to find the Crystal of Beginnings.
Constance: Isn't that right, Claudia and Dorothy?
Claudia: We will do as you command, my queen.
Dorothy: I was gonna help Master (Captain) anyways. Teehee.
With Constance's pledge to help the crew, the full-fledged hunt for the Crystal of Beginnings is set into motion.

Violet Violence - Chapter 4: The Queen of Woe - Episode 2

Claudia warns the crew to avoid travel during nightfall. The crew takes her advice and stays in the castle where Claudia and Dorothy complain about their queen affectionately while feeding and tending to the crew's needs.

Claudia: It'd be nice if we could leave immediately to search for the Crystal of Beginnings...
Dorothy: But battling the queen's armor took so much time that it's already dark out.
Constance: I-I'm sorry... I should just go be a painting on the wall...
Claudia: Monsters become more active at night, meaning there will be even more violence occurring now.
Claudia: I don't recommend searching at this moment.
Ezecrain: Time is of the essence, but... she's right. What's more, we've been traveling all day. We need rest.
Constance: Umm, would all of you like to stay in the castle tonight?
Constance: Dorothy, Claudia, that shouldn't be a problem, right?
Dorothy: Of course not! I want to give all my services to my master. Teehee.
Salria: Thank you, Queen Constance.
Constance: C-could I ask you... not to call me queen? It doesn't really suit me...
Lyria: You think so? Earlier you sounded very queen-like to me...
Constance: Inside the armor it's so tight, dark, and relaxing... Fake it 'til you make it, I guess...
Constance: Sigh...
If only my life could be spent in a closet...
Constance: Claudia, Dorothy, please take the crew to the dining halls.
Claudia: Yes, my queen. Everyone, please follow me.
Dorothy: Hey! No fair, Claudia! I wanted to guide our master!
Led by Claudia and Dorothy, the crew moves to the dining hall.
Vyrn: Thanks for feeding and putting us up for the night.
Claudia: It's our pleasure. The castle seldom sees guests, so those who work here are quite elated.
Lyria: I'm glad to hear that.
Salria: Umm...
Claudia: Is something the matter, Salria?
Salria: Is the queen... I mean... is Constance okay?
Salria: She seemed so down. I'm a little worried.
Claudia: Don't pay her any mind. The queen is often low in spirit.
Vyrn: O-often... Why is that?
Claudia: As far as I can tell, she just doesn't have confidence in herself.
Dorothy: She thinks too much about the small stuff, and we usually find her sad about some silly thing.
Dorothy: I already told her not to cry so much. Her covers will start growing mold from all the moisture.
Claudia: Sometimes we walk into her room and find her brooding in one of the corners. You'd think she was trying to become a mushroom.
Salria: A m-mushroom?
Claudia: Yes. Mushrooms, too, like dark, cramped spaces.
Vyrn: How can you talk about your queen that way?
Dorothy: She's just too much. She's a coward but always wants to help the little guy...
Dorothy: She really can't do anything without us.
Claudia: Whenever anyone makes a request, she can never say no.
Claudia: Then she cries and eventually asks us to get the work done...
Ezecrain: Scoff...
I can tell you don't hate her, but she does cause you more than your fair share of headaches.
Vyrn: I'd say you're kinda responsible for everyone's fair share of headaches too, Mr. Chains.
Ezecrain: What did you say?
Vyrn: Aah! I didn't say nothing! Please put those chains away!
Dorothy: Okay everyone, please have a seat. We'll go get the food.
Dorothy: Master, I'm going to spoon-feed you, so please wait a little bit for me. Teehee.
Dorothy and Claudia attend to the crew's needs while they all feast.

Violet Violence - Chapter 4: The Queen of Woe - Episode 3

After awakening from a dream about a quibble with fellow villager Baldir over research on the Crystal of Beginnings, Ezecrain realizes Salria is missing and goes in search of her.

Vyrn: Zzz... Zzz...
After the meal the crew hits the hay in preparation for an early departure the next morning.
Ezecrain: ...
Ezecrain: Baldir, I'm coming in.
Baldir: What do you want, Ezecrain? I thought the village head daughter's training kept you busy.
Ezecrain: I was ordered to do that...
Anyway, I'm worried about you. I hear you don't go outside.
Baldir: I'm sure you were worried about why I don't go out...
Ezecrain: ...
Silently Ezecrain moves closer to Baldir's desk.
Ezecrain: So... you're conducting research on the Crystal of Beginnings?
Baldir: What if I am?
Ezecrain: You're a fool. Even you know why any study of the Crystal of Beginnings is forbidden.
Baldir: Because if its uses become apparent, some might use it for evil, right? Humph...
Baldir: What hogwash! We waste a relic from the War for such a senseless reason!
Ezecrain: Don't be an idiot!
Ezecrain: I know that your inability to divine has brought you shame, but this is not how you get back at us.
Baldir: I...
Ezecrain: What you're doing may even affect the crystal in ways you can't predict.
Ezecrain: You must stop this...
Ezecrain: Next time I won't be warning you.
Baldir: ...
Ezecrain: Another dream...
Ezecrain: ...
Ezecrain: If...
Ezecrain: I hadn't stopped Baldir then, would I know more about what's happening now?
Ezecrain: Scoff...
Spilled milk perhaps...
Ezecrain: ...?
Salria's gone again?
Ezecrain leaps from his bed and goes in search of Salria.

Violet Violence - Chapter 4: The Queen of Woe - Episode 4

A sleepwalking Salria is awakened by Constance's voice. In trying to help Salria with her gloom, Constance falls into her own bout of depression because of her inability to do so.

Salria: ...
Just as Ezecrain had figured, Salria clumsily roams the halls of the castle.
Salria: ...
Constance: Aah! You s-scared me...
Constance: U-umm... Salria? Are you all right?
Salria: Hmm?
Salria: W-what's going on? Constance?
Salria: Why am I here? I was just in bed...
Constance: ...
Salria: C-Constance!
Salria: Ah! Breathe in! Breathe! Now exhale!
Constance: ...
Constance: You... really scared me...
Salria: I'm sorry, Constance. I've started sleepwalking here and there at night.
Constance: Really? That sounds rather dangerous. If you were to fall down the stairs...
Salria: Yeah... Uncle Ezzy worries about it too. I wish I could fix this.
Constance: ...
Constance: I'm sorry, Salria. If I were a better queen, I might be able to help you...
Constance: But all I can do is worry. I can't help and I can't even think of anything useful to say.
Constance: Sigh...
I'm sorry... I'm just not good enough to be the queen.
Salria: Are you sure?
Constance: Yes...
Salria: You know, I'm really happy that you worry about me.
Constance: Really?
Salria: Really!
Salria: A kind queen is a wonderful queen.
Constance: Thank you, Salria.
Constance: But... I don't think I'm kind—I'm just a coward.
Constance: Even now, I'm so scared that I can hardly sleep. My normally good-natured monsters have suddenly become violent...
Constance: What if that's because they're unhappy with how I rule?
Constance: Even if the problem is not the way I rule, I'm sure the problem has something to do with me...
Salria: Constance...
Salria: Um... Constance?
Constance: Yes?
Salria: What's done is done. There's nothing we can do to change that.
Salria: But there's still so much we can change. We just need to keep looking for the Crystal of Beginnings.
Constance: You're right... We need to stop the monsters from fighting...
Salria: My village was destroyed, and there was nothing I could do about it...
Salria: This time I won't stop until I've done everything in my power!
Constance: Salria...
Constance: You're absolutely right. We have to give it our all.
Constance: As the queen, I need to try harder.
Salria: Let's do this together, Constance. Two is always better than one!
Constance: Right again!
Ezecrain: Salria, there you are.
Salria: Uncle Ezzy...
Salria: Oh! You came looking for me!
Ezecrain: It's time you got to bed.
Salria: All right.
Salria: Good night, Constance.
Constance: Good night, Salria.
Ezecrain: She may not be a queen...
Constance: Huh?
Ezecrain: But, as the daughter of the village head, she has had her own struggles.
Constance: Yes, she has...
Ezecrain: You and Salria get along well.
Constance: I think so too...
To stop the abnormal activity on Sharom Island, the crew decides to take back the Crystal of Beginnings.
Anxiety and hope both pierce the skies of Cephalomancy Castle this night.

Violet Violence - Chapter 5: To Find the Crystal of Beginnings - Episode 1

The crew awakens and sets out in search of the Crystal of Beginnings. Constance and Salria stay behind in Cephalomancy Castle.

Morning comes and the crew departs from Cephalomancy Castle to find the Crystal of Beginnings.
Constance: I'm sending my monsters from the castle to seize any rampaging monsters on the island.
Constance: If anyone sees the Crystal of Beginnings, then we'll let you know.
Vyrn: Thanks, Ms. Queeny!
Constance: I should be thanking you.
Constance: Although we don't know if the Crystal of Beginnings is responsible for the outbreak, we need to rule it out.
Salria: Uncle Ezzy... Are you sure I can't go?
Ezecrain: Monsters may attack us at any moment, so you need to stay here.
Salria: Okay... Stay safe, everybody...
Claudia: We will handle this, Salria. I promise we'll come back with the crystal.
Lyria: All right, everyone, let's go!
Lyria: Goodbye, Sally. Goodbye, Constance.

Violet Violence - Chapter 5: To Find the Crystal of Beginnings - Episode 1: Scene 2

Dorothy and Claudia lead the crew around the island, but their search for the crystal comes up short. Ezecrain's frustration begins eating away at him, and he takes his anger out on any belligerent monsters.

The crew, led by Dorothy and Claudia, begin their search of Sharom Island.
Time passes, but they make little progress.
Ezecrain: ...
Dorothy: There are just too many caves and bodies of water to hide the crystal...
Vyrn: Even the wide forests would take us days to cover.
Lyria: That's true... If only we had a lead.
Lyria: Hmm? Did anyone hear that?
Monster: Groooar!
Claudia: Lyria, get back. That monster's gone mad!
Monster: Growrrr!
Ezecrain: Get out... of my way!

Violet Violence - Chapter 5: To Find the Crystal of Beginnings - Episode 2

While Salria and Constance wait, a mob of violent monsters storms the castle. The two try to escape, but Salria and Constance become separated, and the young steward forces Constance to flee the castle without Salria.

Meanwhile, Salria and Constance are waiting for the crew's return in the castle.
Constance: I hope Dorothy, Claudia, and everyone else is safe...
Salria: I'm sure they are! They're really strong!
Constance: You're right. They'll be okay.
Constance: But still, I worry...
Sigh...
Steward: Your Majesty! Salria!
Constance: Y-yes?
I-I'm sorry! I'm sorry!
Salria: Constance, let's calm down.
Salria: What happened?
Steward: The violent monsters have become a mob and taken hold of the city. They're so enraged they aren't listening to a thing we say!
Constance: What! How could this happen...
Steward: I don't know... But they are heading for the castle!
Steward: What's worse, there aren't any monsters to defend us.
Salria: Gasp!
That's right—they were sent all over the island to stop the fighting...
Steward: Correct. That means we have no way to protect the queen.
Steward: We need both of you to make for the hidden exit immediately...
Constance: Aah! W-what was that?
Steward: Run! The castle walls have been breached! We must hurry!
Constance: How can I leave everyone behind and just flee...
Steward: Go now!
The steward makes his way to the front of the group of monsters to defend Constance.
Constance: Oh no... Why is this...
Salria: Constance...
Constance: Sob...
Salria: Constance, we need to go. Come on.
Constance: Sniff... Right... Come this way.
With a heavy heart Constance grasps Salria's hand as the two make for the exit.
Sadly, the monsters come howling down the hall faster than they can run.
Monsters: Groooar!
Constance: Aah!
Some monsters coming from a different route go after Constance.
Salria: Constance! Look out!
Monsters: Groooar!
Salria takes the blow meant for Constance, sending her tiny body flying into the wall.
Salria: Ungh...
Constance: Salria!
Monster: Grooo!
Constance tries to get to Salria who had been slammed into the wall, but monsters continue to get in her way.
Constance: No... No...
Constance is surrounded by the monsters she was meant to protect.
Salria: Con... stance... R... un...
Young Steward: My queen! Come this way!
Constance: No! I can't leave Salria...
The young steward drags Constance from the castle against her will.
Before Constance's eyes, Salria disappears within the sea of monsters.

Violet Violence - Chapter 5: To Find the Crystal of Beginnings - Episode 3

Constance and young steward find the crew and tell them how Salria was separated from them during the monsters' attack on the castle. Once Ezecrain hears of Salria being left in Cephalomancy Castle, he rushes ahead of the crew.

The young steward and Constance reunite with the crew.
Vyrn: What? Monsters attacked the castle?
Young Steward: I'm so sorry. It took everything to run...
Lyria: It's not like you could've hurt the monsters. We understand.
Ezecrain: Where is Salria?
Constance: Sniff...
I'm sorry... I'm sorry...
Young Steward: Salria protected the queen and then... she went missing...
Ezecrain: Missing!
Ezecrain: How could that happen!
Young Steward: Once I had secured the queen's safety, I went back for Salria...
Young Steward: I checked where she had last been seen, but...
Ezecrain: ...!
Young Steward: I'm so sorry. With the castle taken as it was, I couldn't properly search...
Constance: It's my fault. If only I'd made up my mind sooner about leaving the castle...
Ezecrain: Damn it all!
Vyrn: Hey! Mr. Chains, where are you going?
  1. Calm down!

Choose: Calm down!
Ezecrain: ...
Ezecrain sweeps past (Captain) and breaks into a run.
Lyria: W-what should we do, (Captain)?
  1. We have to save Sally!
  2. Follow Ezecrain!

Choose: We have to save Sally!
Lyria: Yeah. Let's go back to the castle to save Sally!
Claudia: It's been decided. My queen, now is not the time to cry.
Constance: Sniff... Sob...
Dorothy: We've got to go thank Salria for saving the queen.
The crew agrees and turns back to head for the castle.

Choose: Follow Ezecrain!
Vyrn: Good idea! Mr. Chain's not thinking straight...
Claudia: The number of attacking monsters is steadily on the rise. Leaving him alone is far too dangerous.
Constance: Sniff... If Ezecrain were hurt, I could never face Salria.
Dorothy: Then let's hurry before that happens!
Dorothy: Right, Master?
The crew sets off after Ezecrain.

Violet Violence - Chapter 5: To Find the Crystal of Beginnings - Episode 4

Salria awakens in a cave briefly without noticing that she is only a hand's reach away from the Crystal of Beginnings. She closes her eyes and falls into a deep slumber, only to awaken moments later letting blood-curdling laughter escape her lips.

Salria: Uh...
Salria: Where am...
Monster: Gra-ohh!
Salria: Monsters?
Salria: ...
Salria awakens in a place she doesn't know. Then her eyes shut again as fast as they had opened.
Salria doesn't notice but aside from the cool breeze blowing into the cavern is the Crystal of Beginnings.
Salria: ...
Salria: Ha... Haha!
Salria: Hahahaha!
Salria staggers to her feet and laughs in a voice that is not hers.
The crystal, quietly in place, is the only witness to the echoes of Salria's sinister laughter.

Violet Violence - Chapter 6: I Will Protect You - Episode 1

Ezecrain manages to get into the castle alone. He searches for Salria with no luck, and then he remembers that the amethysts point to Salria when used. Ezecrain attempts to escape the castle when he is confronted by hordes of monsters.

After saving Constance from the monsters that attack the castle, Salria's whereabouts become unknown.
When Ezecrain hears of these events, he immediately breaks off from the crew to search for Salria on his own.
Ezecrain sneaks pasts the vicious monsters and infiltrates the castle but can't find Salria.
Monsters: Grr...
Ezecrain: Tch... Monsters are lurking in every part of this castle...
Ezecrain: (Salria wasn't at the exit, the queen's room, or anywhere in between...)
Ezecrain: (Even if she is hiding, how would I find her... My amethysts aren't...)
Ezecrain: My amethysts!
Ezecrain: (When we tried searching for the Crystal of Beginnings, they kept pointing at Salria.)
Ezecrain: (If nothing has changed...)
Ezecrain: Amethysts... Guide me!
Ezecrain: This way...
Ezecrain: Outside the castle... Did she manage to get out by herself?
Monster: Gra-ooh!
Ezecrain: Tch...
Ezecrain: Nothing will get in my way!

Violet Violence - Chapter 6: I Will Protect You - Episode 2

Ezecrain fights monster after monster, but his fatigue begins to take him. At that moment, the crew finds him, scolds him for going off alone, and then follow him as he leads them to Salria with his amethysts.

Ezecrain: ...
Ezecrain: (I've managed not to kill a single monster, but there are so many...)
Ezecrain: Tch...
Monsters: Gra-ooh!
Ezecrain: Damn! Reinforcements!
Monsters: Gra-ooh!
Ezecrain: ...!
Dorothy: Ugh! Get in my way and I'ma sterilize you!
Claudia: You're alone, but at least you fare well.
Ezecrain: Why do you sound disappointed?
Claudia: I'm not disappointed. I'm sad...
Claudia: I've always wanted to save the damsel in distress.
Lyria: Oh, good! We caught up to you.
Lyria: Ezecrain, are you all right?
Ezecrain: You came...
  1. Scold him.
  2. Hit him.

Choose: Scold him.
Lyria: Serves you right! Going alone was so dangerous!
Vyrn: We're already worried sick about Salria! Don't add to our list of problems!

Choose: Hit him.
Ezecrain: Gwah!
Claudia: (Captain), masterfully done.
Dorothy: Wow. You're gonna let him off with just one hit? Master's too kind.
Continue 1
Lyria: Ezecrain. Maybe you don't think this, but...
Lyria: We're friends. To us, you're an important part of our crew.
Lyria: So, don't run off all by yourself ever again.
Lyria: Please...
Ezecrain: ...
Ezecrain: I didn't mean to make you worry. I'm sorry.
Lyria: ...
Ezecrain shows the crew his amethysts which point to Salria's location.
Lyria: But I thought your divination didn't work?
Ezecrain: When we arrived on this island, my amethysts only pointed to Salria when we tried to find the Crystal of Beginnings.
Ezecrain: If the amethysts still point to Salria, then we must follow them.
Lyria: Right... I remember that!
Vyrn: Awesome! We'll get to Salria sooner than expected! Let's find the crystal too!
Constance: Good plan!

Violet Violence - Chapter 6: I Will Protect You - Episode 3

The crew arrives at the cave with the guidance of the amethysts. The questioning crew take careful steps into the depths of the dark cave.

Ezecrain: This way.
Lyria: So Sally's in the cave? Why would she be there?
Claudia: Perhaps she's sheltering herself from the monsters. I think this is an excellent hiding place. Let's go in.
Dorothy: Should I light my portable BBQ?
Claudia: Stop that! What if you were to harm Salria's silky skin!
Dorothy: Oh, right.
Ezecrain: ...
We move.

Violet Violence - Chapter 6: I Will Protect You - Episode 3: Scene 2

The crew finds Salria speaking in Baldir's voice. Baldir explains that he has taken her body with the help of the crystal which housed his consciousness after death. Baldir controls the monsters to attack, while Dorothy and Claudia step in to fight.

Monsters: Grooo!
Monsters: Grr...
Vyrn: Why are there so many rampaging monsters in here?
???: ...
Ezecrain: Who's there!
The crew spots the Crystal of Beginnings and a small shadow that comes from behind it.
Constance: Gasp...
Claudia: Salria!
Claudia: Something's wrong...
???: What? You don't recognize me?
Ezecrain: Baldir?
Baldir: Precisely. You've grown old, Ezecrain.
Ezecrain: What have you done with Salria?
Baldir: Scoff...
Baldir: This is one power held by the Crystal of Beginnings.
Baldir: I bound my mind to the Crystal of Beginnings so that even after my death, I could take Salria's body.
Lyria: T-take... her body?
Constance: Salria!
Constance: Salria, please say you're okay!
Baldir: She's fast asleep.
Ezecrain: Asleep...
Ezecrain: Gasp...
Salria wasn't sleepwalking... It was you!
Baldir: You could say I was taking her for a test drive. She has better compatibility with the Crystal of Beginnings than I ever did.
Baldir: She's even better at controlling the monsters too.
Baldir: Watch!
Monsters: Grooo!
Vyrn: This is bad! Run!
Two figures rush to defend the crew before the monsters can reach them.
Claudia: These monsters are easily manipulated and raise fang to our queen. How unbecoming.
Dorothy: Looks like they need a spankin'! Teehee.
Dorothy: Master, leave this to us!
Constance: Would you two... happen to be very angry?
Claudia: Oh yes.
Dorothy: Extremely!
Monsters: Grrr!
Claudia: It's time, Dorothy!
Dorothy: Leave 'em to me! Teehee!
The two move towards the monsters with smiles on their faces.

Violet Violence - Chapter 6: I Will Protect You - Episode 4

Baldir explains that he brought the crystal to Sharom Island to control the monsters and test his ability to raise an army. Constance and the maids experience outrage over his manipulation of the island and vow to take him down. First, they must fight the primal beast under his control.

Baldir: Our village worshipped the Crystal of Beginnings... and made me feel like I was nothing because I couldn't divine...
Baldir: They have shown me my true purpose. Shown me my talents belong elsewhere.
Baldir: They will help me lead the next generation and use the Crystal of Beginnings in new ways. We'll bring prosperity to the village.
Baldir: Sadly, the conservative ones couldn't accept that.
Baldir: When the war broke out...
Baldir: I was shot to death.
Baldir: But with part of my mind bound to the crystal, I was able to move myself into Salria who happened to be close by.
Ezecrain: Does that mean...
Ezecrain: You were responsible for the war that destroyed our village?
Ezecrain: Do you know how many lives were lost... or how much blood was spilled!
Ezecrain: I don't know who led you astray, but even you must understand how foolish you've been!
Baldir: The foolish are those who don't understand the power I've discovered!
Baldir: When a new age dawns, those who choose to stay in the past perish!
Baldir: That's the way of the world, Ezecrain.
Ezecrain: How dare you!
Claudia: Now may not be an appropriate time, but...
Claudia: The arguments over the Crystal of Beginnings and the amethysts of your village... have nothing to do with Sharom Island.
Dorothy: She's right! Why'd you come here?
Baldir: This was just my opening move.
Constance: ...!
Baldir: I needed proof to show the world my power.
Baldir: If I had used humans as my guinea pigs, word would have spread too quickly. So I used monsters in a country cut off from civilization.
Dorothy: You... did this to the monsters for that?
Baldir: You think I did this to just the monsters?
Dorothy: What?
???: ...!
Claudia: The primal beast... You can control the primal beast Sharom?
Baldir: Yes. Controlling the beast took the most time.
Constance: ...
Constance: We'll stop you!
Constance: Baldir, this won't stand!
Dorothy: Queen Constance!
Constance steps forward with fortified resolve.
Constance: As the queen of Sharom Island, I will see that you get your just deserts!
Baldir: Hahaha! Just you try!
Sharom: ...!
Constance: Tch!
Dorothy: If our kind queen wants justice, then we'll give it to her!
Constance: Dorothy!
Claudia: Baldir, you will fall.
Constance: Claudia!
Constance: (Captain), Ezecrain!
Constance: For all the souls who live on this island... please lend us your power!
Constance: Salria was right... Two is always better than one!
Constance: With us as a team, we can do even more!
Vyrn: Heh heh! You can say that again!
Ezecrain: Scoff...
This is my battle.
Ezecrain: I'll put an end to this!
Baldir: You're all a little too arrogant. Let me show you what the primal beast Sharom can do!
Sharom: ...!

Violet Violence - Ending

The attack on Sharom awakens Salria momentarily who asks to be slain in order to stop Baldir. Ezecrain instead shatters the Crystal of Beginnings and Baldir's consciousness with it. While the Crystal of Beginnings is lost, life is saved.

Sharom: ...!
Baldir: Gaaah!
Claudia: ...!
Why is Baldir in pain?
Ezecrain: He must connected to the primal beast through the Crystal of Beginnings.
Dorothy: That doesn't really make sense, but let's bag him while we can!
Baldir: Do you... think... I'll... let you...
Sharom: ...!
Under Baldir's orders the primal beast rises once more to stop the crew.
Constance: No... We can't harm Sharom anymore...
Baldir: Hahaha... Guess you can't afford to lose the primal beast for the sake of this isla—Guh!
Salria: ...
Baldir: Shut up! Go back to sleep!
Salria: Un...cle Ez...zy...
Ezecrain: Salria, have you regained control?
Baldir: Go... back... to sleep!
Salria: Aah!
Constance: Salria, fight him!
Baldir: Aghhhhh!
Salria: Unc... le Ezzy! Please...
Salria: Take his... life...
Salria: And mine...
Ezecrain: ...!
Vyrn: What! Sally, don't say that!
Baldir: I won't let you...
Baldir: Aaagh!
Salria: Yes, you will!
Uncle Ezzy... Do it now! I can't... keep... fighting...
Ezecrain: ...
Constance: Wait... Ezecrain, you can't!
Ezecrain: This is what I must do!
Salria: ...!
Baldir: ...!
Ezecrain's chain heads in Salria's direction.
Baldir: It's not... over!
Salria: ...!
Baldir leaves Salria's body and returns to the Crystal of Beginnings in search of a new host.
Ezecrain: Simple man...
Baldir: What!
Ezecrain's chains fling past Salria and straight into the Crystal of Beginnings—shattering it.
Baldir: Nooooo!
Ezecrain: Yes.
Baldir's soul splits with the Crystal of Beginnings.
Salria: Huh!
Claudia: That was close.
Claudia: Are you all right, Salria?
Salria: Y-yes... I'm okay.
Salria: But...
The broken bits of the Crystal of Beginnings sparkle faintly in the cavern's darkness.
Salria: Uncle Ezzy... was that the right choice?
Ezecrain: Scoff...
Ezecrain: A treasure is never more valuable than a life.
Constance: Ezecrain...
Dorothy: Hey! What about the primal beast? We sterilized it pretty good...
Sharom: ...
Lyria: That must have hurt... I'm sorry... We didn't have a choice... Are you okay?
Sharom: ...
Lyria: Really? Great! Sharom says not to worry and thank you!
Constance: I'm so glad to hear that...
Constance: Let's go back to the castle. I'm sure the monsters there are back to their normal selves!
(Captain) lets out a sigh of relief and nods to Constance.
To heal the wounds of battle, the crew decides to stay on Sharom Island a little longer.
Days later Constance summons the crew once more.
Steward: Cough...
Steward: Silence! The queen approaches!
Constance: ...
Dorothy: Sniff...
She doesn't even have her armor on and still looks amazing!
Claudia: My queen is so... magnificent...
Constance: Everyone, please be at ease.
Thank you for all your help.
Ezecrain: I apologize on behalf of my village. The tragedies that happened here were because of our failings.
Constance: As queen of this island, I accept your apology.
Constance: We're grateful that you were willing to lose the treasure of your village in order to save us.
Constance: Because of your efforts, all is well. Now, let us begin the celebration.
Constance radiates more confidence than ever before. She smiles and attempts to stand.
Constance: Aah!
She loses balance and falls from the throne onto the ground.
Salria: Queen Constance! Are you all right?
Constance: Ouchy... I'm okay... I was so nervous that I started shaking and then...
Constance: I'm really no good at this...
Claudia: If only...
Dorothy: Nothing new there!
Dorothy smiles softly at Constance who does the same. Then the crew joins in with warm laughter.
That was all the evidence needed to show that Sharom Island's peace had been restored.
The Crystal of Beginnings may be lost, but the crew will continue to protect that which is most important.
The monsters of Sharom Island also sustained many injuries from which they are still healing.
But time passes and as it does, so too do wounds close.
Ezecrain, Constance, and everyone else must carry the scars of these events while setting their sights on the hopes from days to come.
