The Inner Light/History is a story event. A loyalty character joins you, and progressing through the story unlocks quests and bosses.

Black smoke rises into the air,
poisoning the once golden fields.
Robbed of their livelihood,
the people live in grief and resentment.

However, a group of bright-eyed kids
work to protect their modest bonds.

A jewel, equal parts beautiful and dubious,
mocks this childish wish.
It quietly seduces those who
would seize it as their own.

For new players

  • Complete each chapter, quest, and raid boss; each awards Crystal ×50 on first-time completion.
  • Fill the event character's loyalty bar to keep him permanently.
  • Purchase the 20× Half-Elixirs; they provide much more AP than is needed farm them.
  • Purchase the 50× Soul Berries.
  • Earn trophies for additional Crystals.

Notable Rewards

  • Damascus Crystals are a good long-term investment for creating Damascus Ingots to uncap SSR weapons. Obtaining all three is recommended if AP/Elixir consumption is not a concern.
  • Avaritia Spear is one of very few farmable Earth spears for players seeking to use Double Trouble III, but is otherwise sub-optimal due to its HP boost weapon skill. Obtain at least one copy, as the first requires so few materials that it would be worth buying merely for fodder.
  • Avaritia has a unique aura that reduces the duration of debuffs on your party by 1 turn, but even at 3★ its Normal ATK boost is generally worse than Vohu Manah's (who also has a better Call). Obtaining one copy is defensible for new players, but beyond that the materials would be better spent on other items.

Overall these event rewards are underwhelming for new and veteran players alike, so the Cerberus and Fenrir showdowns may be more worthwhile during this event window.
