Home Sweet Moon - Processing... Overclocked - Chapter 3: Extinguishing the Blue - Episode 1

An Omega-3 warrior, Dex, lands in the skies before Diaspora does. (Captain) and Eustace head toward Ilsa's company at their new base to help out, while Zeta, Beatrix, and Vaseraga take on Dex.

The day of the battle comes.
Beatrix: Whew, we're really flying fast!
Zeta: Rackam sure is going in hard.
Vaseraga: At this rate we'll get to Port Breeze in no time at all.
The crew cuts through the wind on the Grandcypher, going full speed ahead.
Mahira: Sorry. If only I'd worked faster, we wouldn't be in such a rush.
Eustace: You finished everything in time; that's all that matters.
Beatrix: I'm still getting used to Eustace's new look.
  1. Looking pretty nifty yourself, Bea.

Choose: Looking pretty nifty yourself, Bea.

Beatrix: Heheh.
Though Beatrix tries not to be too boastful, she cannot hide her delight at (Captain)'s compliment.
Zeta: Well, our equipment got an upgrade too. Can't thank you enough, Mahira.
Ilsa: An upgrade to everyone's equipment?
Mahira: It dawned on me while I was listening to you explaining the plan.
Mahira: To counteract the damage against ourselves caused by Flamek's release...
Mahira: I can try incorporating insulators into the armor.
Beatrix: Insulators? Isn't that...
Zeta: Material that stops the flow of electricity. Perfect for defending against Flamek.
Beatrix: Sweet! Does that mean Flamek's lightning won't be able to hurt us?
Mahira: Well, not entirely...
Mahira: Given that Diaspora is due to arrive soon, there isn't enough time to recreate everyone's equipment from scratch.
Mahira: Your current armor is already attuned to you anyway.
Mahira: Using what's already there as a base, we can replace certain parts with insulators.
Ilsa: Sounds perfect for easing their fears when fighting on the front lines.
Mahira: Since Eustace will be the one using Flamek, I'd like to give a bigger overhaul to all his equipment.
Eustace: I just have one request.
Mahira: Yes, of course.
Eustace: I could use some kind of protection for my right eye to block out the light.
Beatrix: So there is something about your right eye...
Eustace: It's especially vulnerable to light.
Vaseraga: Will you be okay?
Eustace: It's usually not a problem. My eyesight's about the same for both eyes.
Eustace: But bright lights are especially painful to my right eye, and it needs extra time to recover.
Zeta: So when we were fighting that one Otherworldly automagod and it attacked from the right, your reaction was delayed because...
Eustace: The first time we let Heisenberg get away, he used a flash grenade.
Eustace: I was still feeling the effects of that. But I've recovered.
Beatrix: So that's what happened... Wish you would've told us.
Zeta: Yeah, we could've helped cover your right side if we knew.
Eustace: I suppose you're right. Sorry, my fault.
Beatrix & Zeta: ...!
Surprised to hear a sincere apology from Eustace, Beatrix and Zeta trade glances.
Eustace: Anyhow, I could use some protection against Flamek's glaring lightning.
Eustace: Can you do it, Mahira?
Mahira: Of course. Would you like me to build in transceiver functionality as well?
Eustace: That'd help.
Mahira: Okay, now I know what do with your equipment...
Mahira: Next is Vaseraga.
Vaseraga: Insulators for my armor as well?
Mahira: Yes. And in addition to that...
Mahira: Taking off from the base in the middle of my work slowed things down a bit...
Mahira: Apologies for the wait, everyone.
Beatrix: You made the gear in time, so it's all good!
Mahira: It's thanks to the help I got from the Society's researchers.

Cassius: ...
Beatrix: Ah, Cassius... His clone, that is...
Eustace: We couldn't very well just leave him behind on a deserted base after all.
Cassius: Strawberry jam...
Zeta: There he goes again. He must be hungry.
Lyria: You really like strawberry jam too, don't you, Beatrix?
Cassius: Yukata...
Beatrix: Yep, me and Zeta picked one out for you.
Cassius: Alcohol...
Vaseraga: Alcohol, huh... Cassius drank some by accident before.
Cassius: Strawberry jam...
Zeta: Gah! What do you want from us!
Mahira: He's repeating the same words over and over. Could he be trying to tell us something?
Zeta: No point thinking about it, Mahira.
Cassius: Strawberry jam...
Vaseraga: We can't bring him out to battle like this.
Eustace: We'll have to leave him in one of the Grandcypher's cabins.
Beatrix: Not like we have any other option.
Eustace: I'll show him the way...
Cassius: ...
Shortly after, the Port Breeze Archipelago comes into view.
Vaseraga: Have the people living around the area where the battle's expected to occur evacuated already?
Lyria: Mm-hm! We had help from Rackam and Eugen's old skyfarer friends.
Vyrn: Don't forget Siero too.
Vyrn: Good thing Mahira was able to predict early that Diaspora would land in the eastern regions of Port Breeze.
Vyrn: Gave us enough time to send the word out! Big thanks to you, Mahira!
Mahira: Oh, not at all.
Mahira: Were the residents of Port Breeze worried about having to evacuate?
Lyria: Hm... I'm sure they felt some uneasiness.
Lyria: But they were also hopeful about getting through this together, and they were just as concerned for our safety too.
Port Breeze Girl: I'll be the one to treat you all to cake when I come back to the island!
Port Breeze Girl: So please do your best out there!
Sierokarte and Lyria once went out of their way to prepare a special cake for the little girl.
Port Breeze Senior: I still remember that thank-you concert you put on for us.
Port Breeze Senior: When this is all over, we'd like to return the favor and put on something special for you.
The crew once put on a concert for the village elder, among others, as thanks for letting them stay the night.
Port Breeze Man: Thanks a bunch for helping me find Mimi that one time.
Port Breeze Man: Of course, she and I are gonna be evacuating together. You guys watch out for yourselves too!
The crew once helped this family man find his beloved cat.
The people that (Captain) and company once saved offer a prayer to the crew.
Port Breeze Woman: May Tiamat's blessing be with you...
Lyria: Many of them remembered us since we stop by Port Breeze a lot.
Vyrn: We've got a soft spot for Port Breeze ourselves. It's where our journey with the Grandcypher started.
Vyrn: Them helpin' out with the evacuation and comin' over to say hello sure felt nice!
Vaseraga: Your many good deeds have not gone unrewarded.
Beatrix: But if we end up losing anyway, then they...
Zeta: Then it'd be the end not just for Port Breeze but for all in the skies.
Zeta: Thankfully we're here to make sure that doesn't happen!
Vaseraga: Is Ilsa's troop ready with preparations?
Eustace: I just received word that they finished setting up a makeshift base of operations.
Beatrix: And they have Heisenberg's weapon with them?
Eustace: Yeah. We decided on the code name Yama for it.
Vaseraga: Yama, a deity of the underworld, eh... Who is it that shall be judged, I wonder.
Beatrix: Well, I don't know what that Yama dude plans to do, but we sure as heck know what we're gonna do, don't we!
Zeta: Bea's right. Let's make this the first and last time we have to carry out such a crazy plan.
As Port Breeze gets bigger ahead, Vaseraga suddenly turns around.
Vaseraga: Over there!
A small dot in the distant skies above gets larger and larger.
Beatrix: Is that Diaspora?
Mahira: Sure seems like it. It already looks so big from so far away.
Mahira: Huh? Wait a second...
Mahira points to a smaller sphere that detaches from the larger spherical object.
Zeta: What is that little thing!
Mahira: Given its size, possibly a pod used by moondwellers?
Beatrix: Cassius and Isaac!
Mahira: I doubt it. Going by the timetable, their pod isn't due to arrive yet.
Zeta: Then that's...
Vaseraga: A warrior from the moon, I presume.
Vaseraga: We lack a clear picture of the size of Central Axis's army, but at least one member of Omega-3 should still be alive.
Eustace: (Captain), tell Rackam to make landfall.
Eustace: We need to engage ASAP.
Vyrn: I'll let him know! The rest of you guys get ready for battle!
Zeta: I guess our enemy's more than just Diaspora.
Beatrix: The smaller sphere's a lot speedier! It's closing in fast!
Vaseraga: It must have a role to play if it's coming in advance of the main force.
Zeta: Almost as if it's heralding the sky's destruction.
Beatrix: Whoever's inside the pod must be here to take on us weapon contractors.
Zeta: We'll show 'em not to mess with us!
Vyrn: The ship's about to land, guys!
Eustace: Let's go!
At Eustace's command, they leap off the Grandcypher's deck.
A gentle breeze rustles the grass around them.
But the calm is shattered when the pod impacts the ground in front of (Captain) and company.
Vaseraga: Eustace, you and (Captain) go ahead to Ilsa's new base.
Zeta: They're going to need backup. And you guys are it!
Beatrix: Us three will handle whatever they throw at us here!
Eustace: Got it.
Eustace: Let's go, (Captain).
After they run off, the dust around the pod settles and a figure steps out of it.
Dex: Heh.
Vaseraga: Short-haired and brawny... Omega-3, indeed. Dex, I believe his name was.
Zeta: Whoever he is, we're not gonna let him have his way! The fight is on!
