Fediel the Black Goes to Auguste

Fediel has brought Miach to Auguste for a meeting with the island's chamber of commerce. After convincing Fediel to stop pestering a couple on the beach, Miach drops her off with (Captain), Lyria, and Vyrn to play with them until the meeting is over. When asked what she wants to do, she answers, with an enthusiastic grin, that she wants to pretend to be a dyad.

When the days are long and the sun hangs high in the sky, this beach becomes a second home to rosy-eyed summer couples.
Here can be found one pair of such individuals chasing that fleeting dream.
Enamored Man: Ahaha, wait up!
Enamored Woman: Tehehe, come and catch me!
Enamored Woman: Tehehe!
Enamored Man: Ahaha!
Fediel: Greetings to you, dyad!
Enamored Woman: Eek!
Enamored Man: Wha— Who the heck are you?
Fediel: What does it matter who I am? More importantly, I have questions for you.
Fediel: What benefit is there to two halves of a dyad engaging in that odd chasing business?
Enamored Man: Benefit? Uh...
Enamored Woman: Augh... Don't bring a rational analysis to this...
Fediel: Hm? What about my question could be cause for you to turn so red?
Enamored Woman: Huh? I mean, it's just embarrassing, you know?
Fediel: Embarrassing? What is there to be embarrassed about?
Enamored Man: Hey buddy, where do you get off coming up to us and ruining the good mood we had going?
Fediel: Oh, the mood you say? What exactly happens when the mood is good?
Miach: Huff, huff... Fediel!
Fediel: Hm? Ah, the Erune lass, you've arrived! I was just asking this dyad some questions.
Miach: Q-questions? Fediel, suddenly asking things of a stranger is only going to startle and confuse them.
Fediel: Oh, is that so?
Enamored Man: "Confused" is one way to put it...
Miach: I'm so sorry...
Enamored Woman: So, can we go now?
Fediel: Wait, you still haven't answered my—
Miach: I'll do my best to answer any questions you have, so please just let them go!
Miach's desperate plea gets through to Fediel, who reluctantly allows the couple to leave.
Miach: I hope we didn't ruin the mood for them or anything...
Fediel: The mood, you say? That was just what I wanted to ask about!
Fediel: What exactly is it about possessing a good "mood" that's so beneficial to a dyad?
Miach: Hmm, that's a difficult question to answer. I guess you could say that it helps couples become closer... Or something?
Fediel: Become closer... So sharing in a good "mood" builds camaraderie?
Fediel: That certainly makes some sense, but why did the girl seem ashamed?
Fediel: What could be so embarrassing to a dyad about being a dyad? I can't make heads or tails of it.
Miach: In this case, perhaps it was because she had been in a bit of an impassioned state?
Miach: When you showed up and broke the spell, she was forced to rationally think about what she had just been doing... Or something like that.
Fediel: Hm. Hmm. I don't really get it.
Miach: Well, I'm only speculating, so there's no need to force yourself to accept my answer as the truth.
Miach: Fediel, sometimes you won't be able to understand the reason someone is embarrassed.
Miach: But no matter how curious you are, you need to be able to respect that they feel that way.
Fediel: Respect it, you say?
Miach: Yes. It is incredibly difficult, perhaps impossible, to fully understand another person.
Miach: That's why part of treating people with respect requires that we don't pry into things that they don't want to talk about.
Fediel: So you mean that laying everything bare isn't always a good thing?
Miach: Yes. Did that make sense?
Fediel: To be honest, I still don't get it. But I understand that you're telling me not to pry for that very reason.
Fediel: I've possessed a heart for much shorter a span than you have. Therefore I should abide by what you say.
Fediel: With time, I may one day be better able to understand the meaning of your words, but for now...
Miach: That's all that I could ask for, Fediel.
Fediel: Is it? Then I'll leave the matter at that.
Miach: Haha... I appreciate it.
Miach: In any case, we've wandered away from where we'd arranged to meet. Let's head—
Vyrn's Voice: Hey! Fediel, Miach!
Fediel: Ah, the red dragon, the girl in blue, and the singularity!
(Captain) jogs over with Lyria and Vyrn, having spotted Fediel and Miach while on the way to the arranged meeting point.
Lyria: Miach, long time no see! How have you been?
Miach: I've been doing well! We're having a lot of success restoring Alster Island, thanks to you.
Vyrn: Yeah, that sure was an adventure... Glad to hear it's working out!
Miach: It's truly all thanks to your efforts. We'll never be able to thank you enough.
Miach: The fact that I am even able to come here to meet with Auguste's chamber of commerce is nothing short of a miracle.
Lyria: You're selling Alster-made sunscreen in Auguste, right?
Miach: Yes, we've been fortunate enough to build a good reputation for ourselves, so I'm here to discuss increasing how much we export, and adding some new products as well.
Vyrn: Wow, I hope that goes well for you!
Miach: Thank you, Vyrn. I'll do my best to complete the negotiations smoothly!
Fediel: I'm still not happy that you won't let me attend this meeting thing...
Vyrn: What, you wanna tell me you could hold off from interrupting long enough to let 'em finish?
Fediel: Guh...
Miach: Fediel was a great help in allowing me to use that door of hers to get here—several days of airship travel reduced to a few steps.
Fediel: Right? Therefore, you should be willing to spend the days you saved with me engaging in... what was it? A "vacation"!
Miach: Yes, once the meeting is over.
Miach: (Captain), as I said in my letter, I'm hoping to leave Fediel in your care while I'm occupied with negotiations.
Lyria: We'd be happy to have her! We had just been thinking of coming to Auguste for a bit of a vacation anyway!
Lyria: We've actually been here plenty of times, so we'll be the perfect tour guides, right (Captain)?
With a nod, the captain happily agrees to look after Fediel.
Miach: This is my first time coming to Auguste, so I'm relieved to hear that.
Vyrn: Oh, it is? Then we'll have to show you around once your meeting's over. It'll be fun!
Miach: I look forward to it!
Miach: And speaking of having fun, this is for you, Fediel.
Miach hands Fediel a small bag of rupies.
Fediel: Ah, currency! I'm much obliged.
Miach: Shopping should be an excellent way to learn about mortals. But please make sure you don't spend more than you have.
Fediel: Indeed it will be, I think. I appreciate your thoughtfulness.
Vyrn: Miach, shouldn't you get going? Wouldn't wanna make them wait on you!
Miach: I suppose you're right. There's still some time, but better to arrive early than risk being late.
Miach: Well then, Fediel, (Captain), Lyria, Vyrn, I'll see you again later!
Lyria: Alright! Have a good meeting, Miach!
After saying goodbye to Miach, (Captain) asks Fediel what she wants to do.
Fediel: Hm...
Lyria: There's lots of fun things to do at the beach during summer! We could go swimming, or watch the fish, or...
Vyrn: And there's more than the beach too! Auguste's a popular vacation spot, so there's all kinds of stalls and shops we can check out.
Fediel: Hmmm... Those all sound like good ideas, but...
Fediel: There was one thing in particular that I wanted to try on this "vacation".
Vyrn: Oh, what's that? We're up for anything!
Fediel: Right! Well you see...
Fediel: I want to try pretending to be a dyad!
Vyrn: Pretending...
Lyria: To be a dyad?
Fediel nods with an enthusiastic smile, oblivious to the trio's confusion.
The entity known as the Black of the Six Dragons is an ancient being who, despite possessing unimaginable power, is fascinated by the lives and activities of mortals. Her summer vacation begins now.
