A heart-to-heart talk with Lyria helps (Captain) to lighten the burden of being the singularity. The captain is confident that as long as they're together, everything will be just fine.
(Captain)'s father had sent out a letter to his child from the Island of the Astrals. Upon receiving it, (Captain) set out on a journey.
(Captain) eventually came to be known by some as the singularity—an existence that can upset world balance.
But when was it exactly that (Captain) became worthy of that title?
Was it when the fate of the world first rested on the captain's shoulders? Or was it when (Captain) first bested a major primal beast? Or...
Was it from the day of departure from Zinkenstill? From the day of birth perhaps?
Whatever the case, (Captain) can't help but ponder on this question.
Yuni: The world collapses only after losing the singularity.
When was it that (Captain) came to be the world's cornerstone?
The day the journey began? The day Lyria entered the picture? (Captain) has overcome countless struggles since then.
Fortunately, (Captain) is alive right now—yet oddly enough, that very fact was perceived as a world crisis.
Without realizing it, the captain was exposing the world and all who live within it to great danger.
It all happened without warning.
Lyria: Um, (Captain)... Are you feeling okay?
Lyria: You seem lost...
Lyria had so naturally become a part of (Captain)'s life, always there with a smile to calm the captain.
Perhaps this grave concern over being the singularity is obvious to Lyria.
For the two share a life link.
Lyria: I think I would've noticed even if our lives weren't connected. We've traveled together for so long after all.
(Captain) is bashful about being an open book to Lyria.
Lyria: "The world collapses once it loses the singularity"... That thought alone must make it scary to continue the journey.
(Captain) nods with a bitter smile.
Lyria: How about we cut the journey short and settle down in a town somewhere?
Unsure if Lyria is joking or not, (Captain)'s face turns pale at the very thought.
Lyria: Haha, I thought you might react that way. Sorry, I was only teasing.
If, hypothetically speaking, (Captain) were to give up the skyfarer life and settle down somewhere, would the world truly be safer?

Lyria: I'd hate to cut things short too. I want to keep traveling with you, (Captain).
With a smile, Lyria asserts that their desires alone are reason enough to continue this journey.
Lyria: I understand all too well that you're scared, (Captain).
Lyria: Ever since joining the crew, because of our life link, I've never stopped worrying about what'll happen to you if something should happen to me...
Lyria: There's no telling what lies ahead... But as scary as it's been, the fun always won out in the end.
Lyria: My world started out pitch-black. It was through meeting Katalina, you, Vyrn...

Lyria: And you were always at the center of it, (Captain). Because we were in the same place emotionally when we set out into this world together.
(Captain) recalls the sense of adventure—a mix of dread and delight—that was always present before becoming the singularity.
Lyria: Maybe at some point, you started taking on half of the anxiety I felt.
Lyria: Haha! Actually that'd make a lot of sense! Our lives are connected after all!
Lyria: So from now on... I'm going to shoulder half of the anxiety that you feel, (Captain)!
Lyria: That way, the thrill will always be greater than the dread!
Lyria: For everything that you've ever done to make me feel safe...
Lyria: I'm going to put in twice the effort to make sure you feel just as safe, (Captain)!
Lyria grabs (Captain)'s hand, a radiant smile on her face.
The two look toward the direction that the Grandcypher is headed in.

"Everything's gonna be okay if Lyria's with me." With that thought, (Captain) tightens the grip on Lyria's hand.
