Wish
Noa and Cosmos share the same Astral creator. Using this connection, the bond between Yuni and Cosmos, and Noa's previous experience of crossing over to the Sky Realm, Noa and Yuni manage to force Cosmos's manifestation in the skies.
Noa explains the mysterious connection that he and Cosmos may possibly share.
Noa: I was created by an Astral researcher in the Astral Realm.
Noa: He once mentioned something about a primal beast he had previously created.
Noa: He had apparently created the primal in secret, making sure to tell no one.
Noa: The Astral gave it a very special role and immediately hid the primal away in a covert location that would never be discovered.
Noa: Though I never did get to hear what the role was or where the hiding spot was...
Noa: He expressed great concern for the Sky Realm despite residing in the Astral Realm himself.
Noa: He didn't say exactly why...
Noa: But I believe he worried about the distortions in the Sky Realm that may occur...
Noa: Distortions resulting from his fellow Astrals who had traversed to the skies and were creating primal beasts to be deployed there as part of efforts to control this new frontier.
Noa: He saw a need to introduce some checks and balances into the system.
Noa: Thus he must have seen fit to create a primal with the role of watching over, or rather arbitrating, the Sky Realm.
Yuni: And that explains how Cosmos came to be...
Noa: Everything seems to add up if we go by my assumption.
Yuni: So you and Cosmos share the same Astral creator then?
Noa: Yes, although I can't be entirely certain...
Noa: If you sense something special from me, Yuni, this possible connection is very likely it.
Yuni: I see...
Yuni: May I touch your hands, Noa?
Noa: Certainly. Help yourself.
Yuni slips her own hands over Noa's.
Lyria: Huh? What was that just now?
Vyrn: I felt it too...
Noa: ...
Noa: This is new to me as well...
Noa grips Yuni's hands in return.
Yuni: Cosmos's... scent?
Noa: Would you like to see her, Yuni?
The vivid purple of Yuni's eyes comes into full view, and she gives an animated nod.
Yuni: Mm-hm, I'd like that.
Noa: Yes... As would I.
Yuni: Noa?
Noa: I once traveled from the stars to the skies...
Noa: If that memory remains a firm part of me, then maybe...
Lyria: Eep!
Vyrn: What the!
Yuni: ...!
Yuni: Mng...
The light that filled the surroundings fades away. And then...
Cosmos: ...
Yuni: Cosmos!
Cosmos: Yuni?
Yuni: Cosmos... It's really you!
Cosmos: Indeed, it is...
Lyria: Cosmos?
Vyrn: Is it just me, or has she shrunk a bit?
Noa: Oh?
Lyria: Yeah... She does look a bit different from the time we fought her.
Noa: Interesting...
Vyrn: What did ya do, Noa?
Noa: This may be difficult to explain, but...
Noa: I believe Yuni and Cosmos were once a single existence?
Lyria: Mm-hm. Yuni was originally the two dragons that accompanied Cosmos.
Cosmos: In that case...
The two dragons under her command merge together, taking the form of a young girl.
Yuni: ...
Cosmos: My envoy...
Cosmos: Go and confirm the singularity's wishes in my stead.
Yuni: Yes, Master.
Noa: And that's exactly what we needed.
Noa: Their connection persisted despite Cosmos having lost her role as Sky Realm arbitrator.
Noa: I was able to use that to pass across my experiences, which I'm glad to say were compatible enough given our shared creator.
Noa: Given that this isn't exactly a method any of us were built for, it's not too surprising that Cosmos's appearance slightly changed in the process.
Vyrn: Yeah, I didn't get a lick of that.
Lyria: I'm just glad to see Cosmos again!
The crew looks on as Yuni clings tightly to the slightly confused Cosmos.
Noa: Well then, I'll be off now.
Yuni: Wait, Noa! I, um...
Noa: No worries, Yuni.
Noa: I have some matters to settle at the moment, but I'd love to speak with you again some other time.
Wish: Scene 2
Realizing that her manifestation in the skies goes against the world's will, Cosmos is at a loss on what to do. (Captain) and company offer her a place in the crew, which she accepts—for now—while Yuni looks on worried.
Cosmos: Yuni...
Yuni looks up when Cosmos taps her on the shoulder.
Yuni: Ah... Sorry, Cosmos.
Cosmos: Why do you apologize? I have not blamed you for anything.
Cosmos: It's just...
Cosmos looks past Yuni and toward the crew.
Cosmos: I see you've been taking good care of Yuni, Singularity.
Cosmos: I believe I now have a firm grasp on the situation. Indeed...
Cosmos: This body does not contain the power I once possessed. Nevertheless...
Cosmos: My presence here goes against the world's will.
Lyria: That can't be—
Cosmos: It is inexcusable.
Yuni: ...
Vyrn: Aw, c'mon now! Give yourself a break...
Lyria: Cosmos, you mean...
Cosmos: What should I do?
The primal lets out a muffled sigh.
Yuni gazes up at Cosmos, a hint of concern in her eyes.
Cosmos: I find myself at a crossroads.
Yuni: Cosmos...
Cosmos: A remarkable amount of time has passed since my creation.
Cosmos: I have witnessed much and exerted my powers of arbitration in numerous situations.
Cosmos: However, I often wavered in my choices. Having a conscience grounds us but can also be a heavy burden.
Cosmos: Yet despite all that...
Cosmos: This is the first time I've taken such a long pause to both consider what I must do and whether I am permitted to take such action.
Lyria: Well...
Cosmos: My apologies. I did not mean to trouble you all.
Vyrn: Nah, it's no trouble! You worry too much, Cosmos!
Lyria: Yeah, we don't mind in the least! What's important is what you want to do!
Vyrn: Hrm...
Vyrn: Why not come with us, Cosmos?
Yuni: Huh? Me?
Vyrn: Yeah! You wanted to see Cosmos real bad after all.
Yuni: W-well, personally...
Yuni: I'd like to be together with Cosmos.
Cosmos: Yuni...
Lyria: Maybe you can come with us too, Cosmos!

Cosmos: As in... join your adventure across the skies?
Vyrn: Yep! We're a full-fledged crew! And this airship's our very own Grandcypher!
Vyrn: Bet you probably already knew that though.
Cosmos: Indeed, I did. But...
Lyria: How about it, Cosmos? Yuni is already traveling with us.
Cosmos: An adventure...
Cosmos's gaze shifts between the crew and Yuni as she collects her thoughts.
At last, she makes a decision.
Cosmos: Very well.
Cosmos: I require more time to consider the larger picture anyhow.
Cosmos: Allow me to travel with you for the moment.
Hearing the strain in Cosmos's voice, Yuni knits her brows in uncertainty at what this means for the future.
Wish: Scene 3
When running into a crook while shopping with the crew, Cosmos's body acts on its own to intervene. At first confused by her own actions, with Yuni's help she realizes her own wish is for the wishes of all lives in the sky to come true, and she resolves to stay with the crew in pursuit of it.
A short time has passed since Cosmos's arrival at the Grandcypher.
Lyria: Um...
Having made a pit stop on a certain island, the crew is currently out shopping in town.
Lyria: That bakery seems like a nice place to stop by for a bite!
Cosmos: ...
Yuni: ...
Vyrn: This is weirdly tense even for me...
Lyria: I know...
Lyria: Yuni was so happy to see Cosmos at first, but now...
Yuni: ...
Though Cosmos has agreed to join the crew on their travels, Yuni remains downcast and reticent.
Lyria: What should we do?
Vyrn: Wish I could tell ya, but I'm just as clueless...
Woman: Eep!
Yuni: ...!
Vyrn: What the?
Woman: S-stop it! That's mine!
Man: Let go, damn it!
Woman: Augh!
Man: Hah! I'll be taking this!
Cosmos: ...!
Man: Outta my way!
Cosmos: You are not getting away.
Man: Urk! Yeeoowwch!
Cosmos: What did you do to the woman? I saw you take something from her—
Woman: Th-thank you so much for coming to my rescue.
Woman: The bag he tried to run off with included a keepsake from my mother, who passed away last year.
Cosmos: Oh... It must be a rather precious item.
Woman: It certainly is! I can't thank you enough for helping me get it back!
The woman repeatedly bows to the crew in gratitude before going on her way.
Vyrn: Phew, glad we took care of that before things got outta hand!
Lyria: Yeah! It's thanks to Cosmos.
Cosmos: ...
Lyria: Cosmos? What's wrong?
Cosmos: As an observer, my past self would not have intervened.
Cosmos: Which would only be natural of course, given that robbery is such an insignificant phenomenon that it hardly upsets balance in the grand scheme of things.
Cosmos: Yet my actions just now...
Vyrn: It was great seein' you take that punk down and teach him a lesson!
Cosmos: My body acted before I could think.
Lyria: Your strong sense of justice just goes to show how kind you are at heart.
Cosmos: Sense of justice? Kind?
Cosmos: Truth be told, I cannot be certain that my actions here were justified.
Lyria: But...
Lyria: The lady was really happy to have your help.
Cosmos: True enough...
Yuni: Hey, Cosmos?
Yuni breaks her silence, looking straight at the former arbitrator.
Yuni: I've been deep in thought ever since your arrival on the ship.
Yuni: Noa and I forcefully called you to the Sky Realm.
Yuni: Just like you, I'm not sure if I was in the right for doing so.
Cosmos: Yuni, that's not...
Yuni: But it's okay, because seeing you again was my wish.
Cosmos: Your wish?
Yuni: Previously, I wished to observe the Sky Realm in your stead. Do you remember?
Cosmos: Yes. I certainly do remember my last words to you.
Cosmos: I gave you a name and separated you from arbitration.
Cosmos: And now that I've lost the role myself, I can make you free.
Yuni: Cosmos, wait.
Cosmos: Yuni... I would like you to watch over the Sky Realm's future in my place.
Cosmos: Though it would be more accurate to say that was my wish.
Yuni: At the start, yes...
Yuni: But over time, that became my wish as well. And then...
Yuni: I found myself having so much fun traveling with the crew that I wanted it to continue...
Yuni: And I wanted to enjoy all the sights and sounds with you, Cosmos.
Yuni: This new wish came from me and me alone.
Yuni: The fact that I got to see you again means that my wish came true.
Yuni: Mm-hm. I do feel very fortunate and lucky.
Cosmos: Your wish came true?
Yuni: Only half of it.
Yuni: Hey, Cosmos?
Yuni: What would you say you wish for right now?
Cosmos: I...
Cosmos's eyes of opposing colors flutter, swimming in a sea of uncertainty.
Cosmos: I wish to see with my own eyes... where the Sky Realm is headed and how it will arrive there without the guiding hand of arbitration.
Yuni: Uh-huh.
Cosmos: But most of all...
Cosmos: I would like to see the wishes of every life in the skies granted.
Yuni: Yes. And that's your wish, Cosmos.
Yuni: I think I probably knew all along.
Cosmos: Oh?
Yuni: It's something you've yearned for, for a long time.
Cosmos: Hm...
Cosmos: I suppose I haven't changed much despite losing my role and taking on a new appearance in this new world.
Cosmos: Perhaps part of me still clings to the duty of arbitration.
Yuni: Nuh-uh, I don't think that's it.
Yuni: If you ask me, kindness has always been your defining feature.
Yuni: You're full of natural goodness, and that's what I love most about you, Cosmos.
Cosmos: Yuni...
Cosmos's eyes finally soften into a smile.
Cosmos: Thank you, Yuni.
Lyria: Haha... Let's go back to the Grandcypher together once we're done shopping!
Cosmos: Yes, so that I may fulfill my own wish...
Cosmos: Let us travel together, (Captain).
Good and evil, light and darkness, morning and night, man and beast, skies and stars...
Though having long observed conflicting sides, Cosmos's eyes now reflect nothing but the crisp blue skies above.
As but a single life in the Sky Realm herself, the former arbitrator now seeks to see her wish fulfilled.
The entryway to her new journey lies before her.
