Connection

Yuni senses something Cosmos-like about Noa when he passes by one day and approaches him. After a brief chat where Noa relates that he came from the Astral Realm long ago, he reveals that he might possibly know Cosmos.

The Grandcypher is soaring through clear blue skies on a peaceful day.

Yuni: Sigh...

Vyrn: Heyo. Everything all right, Yuni? I caught ya sighin' just now.

Yuni: Oh? Was I sighing?

Lyria: I heard it too... Is something bothering you?

Yuni: Well... I'm not sure if it's bothering me, but I was thinking about Cosmos.

Cosmos...

Cosmos: I am Cosmos, the primal beast of arbitration.

Over many long centuries, she watched over the Sky Realm as arbitrator while hidden away in the Astral Realm.

When the world's balance was on the brink of collapse, she fell into a confrontation with the singularity.

Cosmos: I've come from the Astral Realm to fulfill my duty.

Cosmos: Singularity, battle me so that we may determine the world's will.

Cosmos: The world can endure only if you destroy me and free me from the power of arbitration.

Cosmos: As I said, between the singularity and arbitration, only one can remain.

By battle's end, (Captain) and company emerged victorious.

Cosmos: This completes my role... I shall now fade away without regret.

With Cosmos's demise, her hand of arbitration was lifted from the Sky Realm.

Yuni: ...

Noa: Oh, (Captain). I'm looking for Rackam. Do you have any idea where he might be?

Vyrn: Heya, Noa! I spotted him at the dining hall earlier!

Noa: We must've passed each other, then... I went looking for him after seeing he wasn't at the bridge.

Noa: Thanks for the tip.

Yuni: ...

Yuni: That man...

Yuni: He's a curious one.

Vyrn: Gee, this is kinda sudden...

Yuni: He reminds me of Cosmos somehow...

Lyria: Maybe because he's a primal beast too?

Yuni: Cosmos's role as Sky Realm arbitrator has ended. In the other words, her window into the Sky Realm is no more.

Noa: We primals are generally immortal after all.
