Realm-Severing Roar

Because the singularity is the reason for Bahamut's rapid evolution, the sky god tries to overtake Vyrn's consciousness to better understand (Captain). However, Bahamut's deafening roar puts a stop to this and pulls Vyrn back to the real world. Vyrn regains consciousness and remembers nothing of his interaction with the sky god—but Bahamut does.

As the confrontation with the sky god continues, Vyrn chooses his words carefully.
Vyrn: "Evolving past the confines of nature"? Got any more info on that?
Sky God: Within the girl in blue is a form of mine that takes on this very appearance.
Vyrn: You mean...
Vyrn has seen it called upon in battle numerous times himself.
Sky God: It is but one of my many beastly forms. However...
Sky God: Through the interplay between the singularity, the red dragon, and the girl in blue, it has gained power far beyond the imagination of any Astral.
Sky God: Rather than simply being another separate form, it is on its way to becoming the prime existence.
Sky God: If the same amount of time as the world's creation up until now passes, there is the possibility that it becomes the new sky god.
Sky God: Which is why I needed to confirm the smallest details of the singularity's activities—the greatest impetus for that form's evolution.
Vyrn: Don't tell me you're gonna do somethin' to (Captain)!
Sky God: I may simply continue to observe, but elimination is also in the cards. It depends entirely on the singularity's actions.
Vyrn: Elimination? I don't care if you're the sky god or whatever; (Captain) will never lose to you!
Sky God: The answer to much of this lies in the future.
Vyrn: The future...
Sky God: Furthermore, that future does not need to be distant.
Sky God: The sooner an answer is reached, the more efficiently later matters can be handled.
Sky God: Thus continued observation of the singularity will be necessary. Not a single moment can go unnoticed.
Sky God: The perfect apparatus for that lies before me.
Vyrn: Don't even think about taking over my brain again!
Sky God: No, the risk of my involvement being detected by unquantifiable elements around the singularity would be too great.
Sky God: Not to mention the restoration vessel's objective—the matter of greatest priority—is far from completion.
Sky God: Being in opposition to the singularity would get in the way of observation and also contradict the end goal of preserving the skies.
Sky God: So I shall only implant a small piece for now, which should be sufficient.
The undertone in the sky god's declaration ensures peace for the time being but not necessarily for the future.
And it lacks acknowledgment of Vyrn's freedom of will.
Fear far more intense than what Vyrn experienced earlier overtakes the little dragon.
Vyrn: ((Captain), Lyria!)
Vyrn understands full well that neither (Captain) nor Lyria are there to save him.
And presuming that the entity before him is truly the sky god, no deterrent would work anyhow.
Vyrn: Ngh!
A roar thunderous enough to rend the very heavens resonates across the skies.
In that instant, the sky god pulls back from Vyrn. Or rather, Vyrn is ripped away from the sky god.
Shuddering from the intensity of the roar, Vyrn's consciousness quickly falls into darkness.
Sky God: That is twice now I hear the call. Such growth is unprecedented.
Sky God: To save the tiny being, you risked your entire potential—your very existence—to terminate the connection with the restoration vessel.
Sky God: And though you have achieved some degree of self-awareness, the one that spurs a lowly beast such as yourself to evolve is the singularity, (Captain).
Sky God: I will have to reappraise my understanding of you, beast.
The voice echoes in the empty space without reaching anywhere.
Vyrn: Uwaaah!
Vyrn wakes with a start, his body involuntarily launching out of bed and smacking right into the captain's face.
Vyrn: My bad... Didn't think you'd be there when I woke up...
Vyrn: Wait, why were you lookin' down over me anyway?
(Captain) explains that Vyrn was groaning in his sleep and wouldn't wake up no matter what the captain did.
Vyrn: Sorry. Didn't mean to make ya worry.
  1. Did you have a nightmare?

Choose: Did you have a nightmare?

Vyrn: A nightmare...
After a bit of thought, Vyrn shakes his head.
Vyrn: I don't remember a thing. Kinda creeps me out actually.
Vyrn: Feels like someone reached into my head and scooped out all my memories from last night...
  1. No need to recall a bad dream.

Choose: No need to recall a bad dream.

With that, (Captain) offers Vyrn an apple.
  1. Let's eat it together.

Choose: Let's eat it together.

Vyrn: Is that the freshly picked apple I left in the kitchen? Sounds good to me! Hehe... Thanks!
The sky god and a related dragon are the only ones aware of that night's events.
Looking to save the little red dragon it has traveled alongside all this time, Bahamut stakes its possibilities and reverts to its beastly nature so that it may continue supporting the crew in the journey ahead.
However, every possibility, no matter how faint, has the chance to blossom into something truly divine.
