A Whole New World

Rin had been summoned to the Sky World. She felt a bit perplexed about being in a different world, but she noticed that the people living in this world weren’t all that different from those in her previous world. Rin arrived at the conclusion that she may be able to learn something in this world. She accepted with optimism the fact that she would be living in the Sky World, and resolve to travel with (Captain) and company.

Rin: Hmm... Not here, either... Perhaps the stomach?
Vyrn: Oi!
Rin: So the joints are well hidden with good stitching... So around here...
Vyrn: Hya! This is embarrassing!
Rin: Sorry... Maybe I brought up something strange.
Vyrn: Then be careful!
Vyrn: What the... hey! What have you been doing all this time, Rin?!
Rin: What? I was thinking about where the cotton was stuffed into you...
Vyrn: What?!? Cotton?! I am not a stuffed animal!! How many times do I have to say that until you get it?!
Rin have been summoned to the Sky World. Though she mixed well with our heroes, there were still various things about which she was dubious.
Vyrn: Oh give it up already. What troubles you so?
Rin: Ohh...
Rin: (There are monsters here, there are ships that fly through the skies, there are people who use swords and sorcery...)
Rin: (Somehow it all seems so real, but is this actually possible?)
Rin: (Is this a prank they play on pop idols? If that’s the case then my producer is a bad guy...)
Rin: (Now that I think about it, I guess my reaction now is just as expected? Now, even if it is a prank...)
Rin: Hmhmhm...
Lyria: Um... Are you okay?
Rin: Yeah... Thanks Lyria. But, how in...
Villager 1: Ooh! Well, well! These are skyfarers! Coming all the way to this frontier village to suppress us...
Vyrn: Aw, don’t worry about it. Just be happy that your village is safe!
Villager 2: Yes! Now our children can play outside and feel safe.
Rin: ...
Lyria: Huh? What's wrong? Miss Rin.
Rin: The work of skyfarers is very well known in this world, isn’t it.
Rin: And... People in this world are pretty much the same.
Lyria: Ugh... Why you think about such difficult matters, Miss Rin?
Rin: Why indeed... Maybe you’re right.
Rin: (Yeah... Maybe I was overthinking difficult matters. )
Rin: (I was wondering about what kind of world this might be even though the people living here are no different from the people I’ve seen before. )
Rin: (If that is the case... Now I can...)
Rin: Right, (Captain). Why don’t you tell me what the skyfarers are all about?
  1. Sure thing
  2. No way

Choose: Sure thing
Rin: Thank you. Don't be shy!

Choose: No way
Rin: Ugh...
Lyria: You don’t have to be so nasty!
Continue 1
Vyrn: Hm... Tell us about your circumstances.
Rin: Hm... This world is almost certainly a world that is unknown to me...
Rin: The smiling faces of the villagers are not at all different from ones that I know well.
Rin: If that’s the case, then maybe there is a lot that I can learn from this world and from the work of skyfarers.
Lyria: That's it! You're right! There are a lot of mysterious things in this world!
Vyrn: So you finally became optimistic!
Rin: Yeah, but... Vyrn, you look just like a stuffed animal...
Vyrn: What?!?
Rin had psychologically prepared herself for a different world. She would learn about many things in her travels with (Captain).

The Sword and the Song

One night, (Captain) and company come out to the deck of the airship, guided by the beautiful song that echoed throughout the cabins. There, they find Rin pouring her heart out as she practiced her singing. Although she is already a talented singer, Rin explains that she continues to strive for improvement for her fans. The party was moved by her dedication, but the conversation is interrupted by a sudden attack. Rin's singing also drew in the monsters nearby.

One night... Rin appears on the deck of the airship and takes a deep breath.
Rin: Well...
Lyria: Huh? Is that... a song? Who is that...?
Vyrn: Hmmm... What a soothing voice.
Rin: Whew... Guess that's it for today...
Lyria: ...
Vyrn: ...
Rin: Wha... S-since when were you...?
Vyrn: Heh heh! We heard the whooole thing! I didn't know you were such a great singer!
Lyria: Yeah! Why do you sneak away to sing when you have such a beautiful voice?
Rin: Ah, well... that was just practice... for voice training. Kinda.
Lyria: Umm... you were practicing? But you're already so good!
Rin: Thank you. But I don't ever want to stop improving.
Rin: I want to always give my fans the best performance I can give. And...
Monster: Gwooooogh!
Vyrn: Whoa... Shouldn't have let our guard down at night! Get ready! (Captain)!

The Sword and the Song: Scene 2

The party defeats the monsters and decides to get some rest. Rin's expression was grim. Unlike the peaceful world she had known, one must fight for survival in the skydoms. Experiencing this truth first hand, Rin was beginning to wonder whether her song and dance were worth anything to those who lived in this world. As if to add injury to insult, the party is suddenly attacked by the remaining monsters.

Rin: Whew... You can never let your guard down in this world.
Lyria: Haha... Y-Your world was really peaceful, right Rin?
Rin: Yeah... You wouldn't get attacked by monsters just walking down the street, at least.
Rin: I never had to fight with a sword in hand like this either...
Rin: ...
Rin: Hey, (Captain). It might be weird of me to be wondering this, but...
Rin: Are things like song and dance meaningless in this world...?
Lyria: U-Ummm... What do you mean?
Rin: I mean, in a world where you have to fight to live, how valuable could just singing and dancing be?
Lyria: Oh no...!
Monster: Gwooooogh!
Vyrn: Damn it! There were still some of them left! Take 'em down! (Captain)!

The Sword and the Song: Scene 3

Rin wondered whether her song and dance could save anyone in the skydoms, where one must fight for their life on a regular basis. She expressed her concern that her life's passion could be worth less than a single sword, but (Captain) and company reassure her. Her confidence returns when they convince her that her talent is a wonderful thing that can bring smiles to the lips of all who hear her.

Monster: Guoooargh...
Rin: Pant... Pant...
Lyria: Rin... about earlier... why did you...
Rin: I wonder if I could save someone with my song... like I could with a sword.
Rin: Could I become someone's... something?
Lyria: I... don't know.
Lyria: B-but! Your singing was so beautiful...
Lyria: So I think... it can make a lot of people smile!
Rin: To make people smile...
Vyrn: Hmph... Lyria's right! Don't you think that's worth something?
  1. I want to hear Rin sing more.
  2. I want Rin to sing more.

Choose: I want to hear Rin sing more.
Rin: Thank you... there's nothing that makes me happier than hearing that.

Choose: I want Rin to sing more.
Rin: Thank you... I would love to sing more, too...
Continue 1
Rin: Yeah... you're right.
Rin: Sorry for asking such a weird question. Sigh... maybe I'm just tired.
Vyrn: Heh heh! Then stop staying up late and go to bed!
Rin: Alright, thanks Lyria, Vyrn. And you, (Captain).
Rin: Maybe I was about to lose sight of what's really important.
Rin: I won't forget what we talked about tonight. Well, good night.
With that, Rin returns to her room.
The next day, Rin invites (Captain) and the others to a small musical street performance.

Picking Up the Sword

(Captain) and company accept a quest from Siero's Knickknack Shack to deliver supplies to a town frequently ravaged by monsters. Rin's explains that her job back home was to bring a smile to people's faces, and would like to do the same here starting with this quest.

A musical performance is taking place in a tavern, accompanied by powerful and moving vocals. As for the singer…
Tavern Regular 1: Whoa! What an amazing voice!
Tavern Regular 2: Woooooo! Sing for us some more! Encore!
Rin: Phew… thanks for listening, everyone.
Rin descends from the stage with a bow, her face flushed with pleasure and self-accomplishment as she is bathed in applause.
Rin: And… thank you for your help, too, Troubadour-san.
Troubadour: No, not at all. It was your singing that carried the performance!
For Rin, the girl from another world, singing had always been a way of life, and being in the Sky Realm changes nothing.
Vyrn: Heh heh! Rin really is amazing. She's been singing all that time, and her voice is still just as clear as ever!
Rin: Oh… sorry. I got so caught up in the performance, I lost track of time.
Lyria: Hee hee, that's fine! I could listen to your singing forever, Rin-san!
Rin: Hee hee… thanks, Lyria. I'm so happy whenever I get praise from someone!
Rin: …Anyway, time for a change of pace. We should head over to Sierokarte-san to ask about the request, right?
Vyrn: Yeah. I hear some dangerous monsters have appeared, and some town has it pretty bad.
Rin: I see…
Vyrn: What's wrong? You don’t look so happy.
Rin: Yeah… I was thinking, this sounds like a big request.
From Rin's experience of skyfarers, she guesses that the road ahead will be plagued with difficulties.
With her characteristic sincerity, she has studied the skyfarers' lifestyle, hoping to gain experience from observing their work.
Vyrn: Well, there's no point in being all gloomy just yet. We gotta hear the details first!
Rin: Yeah. Let's go!
Vyrn: Err, so, we just have to carry these goods, right? Seems like a pretty well-paid job, considering…
Sierokarte: Indeed! The client is the town's mayor. He's concerned about the periodic monster attacks they've been suffering.
Vyrn: So basically, he's come crying to us for help now they're short-handed, huh?
Rin: Hey, (Captain)-san. These goods are all food…
Lyria: Ohh… there must be lots of hungry people…
Rin: I see… sounds like a serious situation… (Captain)-san, can't we help them?
Rin: My job in my original world was to cheer people up, and make them smile. I can't just ignore people in need.
Rin: I do understand that a skyfarer's work isn't a charity. And this is partially my own selfishness, but…
Vyrn: Heh heh! You're not alone! There's no way (Captain) could just stand by and do nothing, either!
Thus, (Captain)'s crew undertakes the request given to them by Sierokarte, and helps to carry the goods to the client's town.

Picking Up the Sword: Scene 2

(Captain) and company arrive at the town only to learn how exhausted and lifeless its inhabitants are. Rin exclaims her wish to take on quests here in addition to helping the locals get back on their feet. Just then, a pack of monsters come to attack the town.

Vyrn: …By the way, what's this violet blade stuff you're always going on about, Rin?
Rin: Um… those are kind of lines from a script I invented myself.
Vyrn: I've been wondering about them for a while now. They sound different to any spell I've ever heard.
Rin: Hmm… how can I put it? If I say them, I feel somehow… stronger.
Rin: Kinda like, I can trust in this sword.. I don't really understand it that well myself.
Vyrn: Hmm… what a weird thing to say, "trusting a sword"? Is it a magic sword or something?
Rin: No, it's not. It's just a stage prop. But it didn't give out blue flames in the other world…
Vyrn: Wow. So you come to a different world, your toy starts spouting out fire… A lot of messed up stuff is happening to you, huh, Rin?
Rin: Hee hee, I guess you're right. It's all so weird.
Rin: …We should be there soon, right? At the client's town…
Vyrn: Yeah. Judging by the map we got from Siero, it should be around here…
Townsperson:
Guard:
Vyrn: …Hey, are these the guys? They seem all worn out.
Rin: Yeah…
Rin: Hey, (Captain)-san. Would we be able to take requests here as well? There must be something we're able to help with!
Vyrn: We're fine with that! You know, you're really quiet, Rin, but you have your fired-up moments. Kinda like Katalina, actually.
Rin: …I guess you're right. I don't understand it myself, but…
Rin: Huh? Wait a second. Something's strange…
Monster: GRAAAGHHH!
Guard: Gah! Y-you fiend!
Vyrn: What the— Monsters are invading the town!
Vyrn: Argh! We've no time to be getting requests! (Captain)! We've gotta stop them!

Picking Up the Sword: Scene 3

Learning from the town mayor of the soldiers' weariness caused by the nearly incessant warfare as of late, Lyria proposes for Rin to boost everyone's morale with her singing. All in the plaza slowly but surely regain their strength as they listen to Rin's song, making her realize the extent of her power. But at the same time, it also draws forth the pack leader of the monsters.

Town Mayor: Thank you so much! You've saved us!
Vyrn: H-hey… I think you better get some help before things get any worse, don't ya think?
Town Mayor: Yes, you're quite right… But with the severity of the attacks increasing so suddenly, we've had no time to send a messenger…
Vyrn: Hmm… this is gonna be a problem.
Town Mayor: Our soldiers are becoming exhausted from the long battles… I'm afraid the situation is growing ever more dire.
Vyrn: Yeah. Those guys out there certainly looked worn out. No wonder you can't fight properly.
Lyria: Oh, I know! Rin-san, you can cheer everyone up with your singing!
Rin: Huh? Me? Sing, in this town?
Vyrn: Ha ha ha! Nice idea, Lyria! They'll definitely cheer up with her singing voice!
Town Mayor: Oho! Well, if you would, we'd be most grateful! We haven't had any time for leisure in a while.
Rin:
Vyrn: Huh? What's wrong? You always seem so happy to sing…
Rin: Oh… it just…
Rin: Can my singing really help out? I mean, right now, this town is…
Vyrn: Come on, you don't know unless you try, right?
Rin: Yeah…
Lyria: Um, Rin-san. You said it yourself before, if there was anyone in this world you could help through singing…
Lyria: I… I don't know if it'll help for sure, but… I do know that since you've joined the crew, things have gotten a little more fun!
Lyria: Um… I love listening to your songs, Rin-san, and I love singing along with you too. It… it makes me really happy!
Lyria: So, I'm sure everyone in this town will be cheered up by your voice…
Rin:
Rin: …OK, I'll do it! Thanks, Vyrn, Lyria.
Rin: (That's right. I told the producer I wouldn't stop or waver in my tracks any more.)
Rin: (I want to bring smiles to people's faces. So, I won't stop, not now, not ever!)
Clenching her fists, Rin walks down a wide, deserted street, eventually reaching the water fountain in the town's central square.
Standing alone in the deserted plaza, Rin gathers her breath as usual.
Rin: (Here goes...)
Rin begins to sing. At first, the townsfolk look at her, wondering what is going on, but they soon move on.
Not allowing this to discourage her, Rin continues to sing the song that gives her courage as she has done many times before…
Townsperson 2:
Townsperson 3:
Becoming aware of Rin's voice, the windows of the houses that line the street open up, and faces peek out.
Rin: (…)
Rin sings without faltering. The townsfolk had not felt joy in so long, their surfacing emotions must be beyond comprehension.
Rin: (Please get through to them…)
Rin: (Please… my song has to…)
Townsperson 2:
Townsperson 3:
At first, the townsfolk stare at her in blank amazement, but little by little, a faint smiles begin to appear on their faces.
Townsperson 2: What… what a beautiful song…
Townsperson 3: Yeah. It's been so long, I'd forgotten what it's like…
Amid the scattered comments which leak out here and there, the sound of clapping gradually breaks out, reaching Rin's ears.
In the hearts of the impoverished people, a faint ray of hope glimmers as they listen to Rin's singing.
Rin: (I see. My singing… it may not be able to defeat monsters, but it's not powerless…)
Rin: (My talent… I've finally discovered after so long… I'm not powerless, after all!)
Rin: (Please… reach more and more people!)
As Rin's conviction grows stronger, her singing voice is gripped with an ardent fervor, becoming something else entirely.
Lyria: Huh? Th-this…
Vyrn: H-hey! Is this really Rin's singing? Did she always have this incredible voice?
Lyria: It's not just her voice… it's like the nature on this island has joined her for a musical performance…
Finally, Rin's sentiments have transformed her song into something that engulfs not just the town, but the whole island.
Rin: (Even without any equipment, my voice is ringing out so loud. How strange…)
Rin: (But, why might that be? I think I understand…)
Moved by Rin's singing, the townsfolk are slowly regaining their warm countenances, but…
Monster: RAARGGGH!
Vyrn: Gah! What's this thing doing…
Town Mayor: That…That's the leader of the monsters that have been attacking our town!
Vyrn: Darn it! It’s been drawn here by Rin's voice! Jeez, what a time to interrupt!

Picking Up the Sword: Scene 4

After defeating the pack leader, Rin has flashbacks of the gift she received from her producer. Following this incident, Rin often goes quiet as if in deep contemplation, but she is actually devising a plan in her mind for what it really means to put a smile on people's faces.

Vyrn: Huff… pant… W-we somehow managed stop it without letting it get to Rin…
Lyria: But wow, that was amazing! Rin-san, where did that amazing voice come from?
Rin: I have no idea… it travelled pretty far, considering I didn’t have a loudspeaker or anything.
Vyrn: Hey, I don't think how far it reached what we're sooo amazed at… that was crazy just now!
Rin: Hmm… well, thinking about it now, I don't really know what happened…
Rin: Oh… that's right, this sword…
Rin: Oh, Uzuki, by the way… is this the whole costume?
Rin: I think they were saying something in the meeting about changing the material for the sword, if I remember.
Just as Rin voices the question, the sound of hurried footsteps reaches the waiting room she is in.
Rin: Oh, Producer. You made it in time with the props. You're sweating a lot, though. Hee hee.
A smile floating to their lips, the producer hands over the prop, which Rin stares at for a while.
Rin: It's true. The sword really does suit me best. I feel like I'm ready, now. Thanks, Producer.
Rin: Hee hee.. Receiving this sword like this feels kind of like a knighting ceremony. It's a little cheesy.
Rin:
Rin's gaze wavers, as if she is searching for the right thing to say. Then…
Rin: Feel my violet blade! IOLITE BLUE!
Rin: Hee hee… how was that? Did I look cool?
Rin: These words, this sword, and this costume… all were things given to me by the producer, and I'll treasure them as such.
Rin: (That's right. This sword, this costume… they're a kind of magic given to me by the producer.)
Rin: (So… when I entered a world where magic exists… that magic became real for me. I guess that must be it.)
Vyrn: Hey, what's up, Rin? Are you tired, or something, you're kinda spaced out…
Rin: …Well, I've just been thinking. About the power I've received.
Rin: Of course, if the prop sword given to me by the producer contains magic power…
Rin: Then the singing power I got from the producer must also contain the power to help people too.
Vyrn: Whoa… the more I hear about this "producer", the cooler they seem.
Rin: …Yeah. Though sometimes I have no idea what the producer is thinking about. Hee hee…
Thanks to this incident, Rin is made aware once again of the power within her songs.
From here on, the number of things Rin has to ponder upon only increases…
Rin: …Hmm, (Captain)-san? I'm looking a little down, you say? That's not it, I'm just thinking a little…
Rin: I really do want to sing, to make people happy. And to accomplish that, there's else something I want to do.
Rin: Oh, don't worry, I'm not going to inconvenience you, (Captain)-san.
…Probably.
With a smile, Rin returns to her cabin.
In her cabin, Rin is confronted with one more task. She appears to be designing something in her notes, but would could it be?

Never Forget

Rin drafts a plan to hold a concert with Mio and Uzuki. Siero takes a look and realizing the enormous sum it woud cost, proposes to invest in the effort. But first, they must clear the monster-infested highlands they wish to use as a venue for the concert.

Rin: Uzuki, Mio, can I have a moment?
Uzuki: Rin-chan? What is it?
Mio: Oh? Have you finished those notes you were talking about?
In the middle of a previous battle, Rin had sung in front of many people, her feelings toward her singing burning bright within.
Afterward, she had been set on feverishly scribbling something into her notebook…
Uzuki: Wow, this is…
Mio: Oh! Amazing!
Rin: This is my proposal for us, the "new generations" girls, to do a live concert.
Uzuki: A concert…
Rin: Yeah. Since coming to this world, we haven't done one with all three of us, have we?
Rin: When I sang in town before, and saw everyone's smiling faces… I thought, I want to perform again with the three of us.
Mio: …Sure thing! Let's do it!
Uzuki: Yeah! Mio-chan, Rin-chan, let's do our best!
Rin: I'm sure it'll take a lot of time and money to prepare, but… I really want to sing in front of everyone.
Rin: I'd like to ask Sierokarte-san if we can borrow any equipment for the performance…
And so, the three "new generations" headed to Sierokarte to set up the concert.
Sierokarte: Welcome! Rin-san, Mio-san, and Uzuki-san. And what can I do for you today, hmm?
Rin: Um, there's something we'd like to do. We've brought a proposal with us, so could you take a look at it?
Showing the notes she has composed, Rin explains her proposal, to which Sierokarte listens with interest.
Sierokarte: I see, I see… You should know that if you want to go ahead with this, it will cost quite a hefty sum…
Sierokarte: Hmmm… to put all these ideas into action, the realistic cost will amount to… let's see…
The amount calculated by Sierokarte is far above what the three girls could hope to afford.
Rin: I see… Looks like it's going to be difficult…
Sierokarte: Hee hee hee. Not to fear! I shall shoulder the costs for you.
Uzuki: Huh? Are you sure, Sierokarte-san?
Sierokarte: Yes indeed, on one condition. I can sense a large margin for profit, you see, so you have to let me in on it, too!
Rin: Thanks, Sierokarte-san. Well then, I have a few requests I'd like to make…
And so, with the help of Sierokarte, Rin is able to propose several requests and procure the things she needs.
The best venue is a valley that has good acoustics, which they are offered as a reward for slaying the area's monsters.
Plain
Rin: So this plain is the best place, huh? Thanks, (Captain)-san, and everyone.
Vyrn: Don't worry about it! If this is something you wanna do, Rin, then we're with you all the way!
Rin: So, about the monsters that are nesting in the earth around here…
Vyrn: We don't know what they look like… But judging by the winding patterns they leave in the dirt, I guess they're some kinda snake?
Rin: Hmm… there are no bite wounds on the victims, and it seems like several come out at a time, so perhaps it's a different species…
Uzuki: Rin-chan, it's like you're like a real skyfarer...
Rin: I guess… by doing my best to learn about skyfarers, I figured I could gain something as a pop idol, as well.
Vyrn: Heh heh! And thanks to that, you helped us out, too!
Monster: GAAAOOORGGGHHH!
Vyrn: Uh-oh! Monsters! Looks like they're not the ones from the request, though. Don't let your guards down!

Never Forget: Scene 2

When asked why Sierokarte is willing to go so far for their concert, he answers that it seems like an incredible business opportunity and wishes to see for himself how far it can go. In the midst of their discussion, Sierokarte feels a strange presence. It turns out to be the monster the crew was hired to take out.

(Captain)'s party takes care of the monsters, and turns its attention to searching the ground for the monsters in the request.
Rin: Hmm… Judging by the width, the stage and seating should go around here… and the stage should face the sunlight, like so…
Sierokarte: I see you're hard at work, Rin-san! How are things proceeding?
Rin: Oh, Sierokarte-san. Some other monsters showed up, but there's been no sign of the monsters in the request.
Sierokarte: I see… It would be so good if we could make this plan a success…
Rin: …Hey, Sierokarte-san… Why are you helping us out so much?
Sierokarte: Hee hee hee. Why? That's because this plan presents an excellent sales opportunity, of course.
Sierokarte: I am a merchant, after all! It's beneficial for me to observe the practical efficacy of various advertising methods, you know.
Rin: Hee hee… right. So our world's know-how is being passed on over here, as well.
Sierokarte: Oh! Rin-san, I believe I feel a strange presence…
Rafflesia: Shhhccccccccchhhhhh!
Vyrn: Argh! So these are the monsters we've been looking for! Let's go, (Captain)!

Never Forget: Scene 3

(Captain) and company watch Rin, Mio and Uzuki rehearse on the stage set up by Sierokarte. The infamous landsharks making a name for themselves as of late barge into the scene. The crew does not allow them to interfere and a battle ensues.

And so, after dealing with the monsters that had been nesting in the earth, the party sets about constructing the stage.
A few days later, a magnificent stage has been completed.
Rin: We did it!
Uzuki: Yay! Sierokarte-san, thanks so much for your help!
Mio: But wow, thank goodness we could find a sponsor in this world!
Sierokarte: Hee hee, don't mention it. This will be a valuable learning experience for me, as well…
Rin: …Hey, Uzuki, Mio. What do you say we get our rehearsal underway?
Uzuki: Yeah! Wow, this feels so nostalgiac…
Mio: All right! I'm gonna play my part, as well!
The three of them quickly climb onto the stage and begin to practice.
Without wavering once, the girls each display their perfect synchronization with one another. By the end, the party is amazed.
Lyria: Wow! You were all incredible from start to finish!
Vyrn: Man! You guys are crazy good!
Rin: Hee hee… Actually, we were going to perform these songs at our next concert in our world.
Uzuki: Yeah! We've been practicing them for ages!
Mio: Hee hee, I've been practicing in secret, even when I'm not with Shiburin and Shimamu…
Rin: And I guess you've been doing the same, huh, Uzuki?
Uzuki: Hee hee… you guessed it!
Rin: …That's great! Then we'll have no problems with the performance.
Rin: This is the concert the producer designed, so we're going to make it succeed, no matter what!
Uzuki: Yeah!
Mio: You got it!
Sierokarte: Oho… So this is something that was created by this producer of theirs, huh?
Sierokarte: Hee hee… There are people in the world who come up with some amazing things.
And so, the three girls continue their rehearsal, watched over by (Captain) and the others…
Thug: Well, well, well… what's goin' on 'ere, then?
Vyrn: Huh? Who in the sky are you guys?
Thug: What d'you mean? We let our pets loose for some exercise around here, and they went 'n' disappeared, so we're lookin' for 'em.
Vyrn: What are you talking about? The only things around here were those weird plant monsters.
Thug: Gah! Don't tell me you went and…
Sierokarte:
Sierokarte: Ahem. You folk wouldn't happen to be from that infamous group of land sharks, now, would you?
Rin: Land sharks? We're gonna need a bigger sword…
Sierokarte: Hmm? More and more people have been breeding monsters to drive people away from land so that they can claim it!
Thug: Damn it! Go spout your moral lecture someplace else!
Vyrn: So you guys've been after this land, huh? You think we'd let you mess things up for Rin and the others? Think again!

Never Forget: Scene 4

Rin, Uzuki, and Mio's concert brings in a much bigger audience than expected, blowing away Sierokarte's expectations. As this was the first live ever for the people of this world, the trio taught them how to beat their hands and rock out to the music. Seeing the audience have such a great time served as an important reminder for her; singing is invaluable to her in bringing a smile to people's faces.

After a great fuss, the party finally sees off the land sharks and secures the safety of the area.
For the next few days, the three girls continue their rehearsals while the event is advertised.
Spectator 1: Hey, do you know what's gonna happen? I heard there's this amazing song…
Spectator 2: I wonder! I'm sure curious about that slogan in the advertisement... "Your ticket to a different world"!
Lyria: Wow! So many people have gathered!
Sierokarte: Hee hee. It seems this event has more customer-pulling potential than I had anticipated…
Mio: All right! Are you guys ready?
Rin: Yeah!
Uzuki: Yeah!
Mio: OK, here we go!
Rin: Um… hello everyone, thank you for coming tonight to hear our performance.
Rin: This is our first time performing a concert here, but… we'll give it everything we've got!
Rin: Well then, please listen to our first song. We hope you'll enjoy it!
And so, the three girls' performance begins.
Spectator 1: I see what they meant now… This is amazing…
Spectator 2: Hey, so what're we supposed to do? I get the feeling we're supposed to join in somehow, but I'm not sure what…
Rin: (…That's right, this is their first time at a live show…)
Rin: OK, everyone, clap your hands to the beat! Let's go!
As she shouts out, Rin sees the audience start to clap to the rhythm.
Spectator 1: Clap? Oh! Er… so I put my hands together like this, huh?
Spectator 2: Ha ha ha! I'm getting it! I'm getting it! Look, I'm… I'm clapping!
Rin: Hee hee. Seeing you all smile makes us happy, too! Let's enjoy ourselves today!
Rin: And now we have our next song… This is one means a lot to us…
Rin: We'd like to share some of our magic with you all! Please listen to this song, the one that connects us to our awesome supporters!
And thus, the girls' concert is a roaring success with the crowd, ending with huge cheers and ovations.
Rin: (Our song made everyone smile… that's the most important thing for us!)
Rin: (Look at us, Producer. Even in this faraway world… we're keeping up the pace!)
Even as a visitor in a different world, Rin's convictions have held firm, and she has not wavered in her path.
And the time will come when her song will light up the faces of everyone in the sky…

Never Forget: Scene 5

Rin escapes from danger thanks to (Captain) and the crew. Although the party explain to her as best they can, she is unable to fully comprehend her situation. Still, in order to look for her friends who she was separated from, Rin asks to tag along with (Captain)'s crew.

Mysterious Creature: Sch-schnaaaa…
Vyrn: All right! Looks like we've cleaned up all of the ones lurking around here!
Rin: Thanks for saving me back there, (Captain). Lyria, too. And…
Vyrn: Um…what is it?
Rin: Nothing. Well, I mean…are you really sure you're not some kind of toy? With a tiny little motor inside, or something?
Vyrn: What! Do these wings look fake to you?
Lyria: Ahaha… It's true, you don't see things like Vyrn every day! Um… Your name is…?
Rin: Rin. I'm Rin Shibuya. I'm more or less a pop star, but… it' not always that black and white.
Lyria: Pop… star? Hmm…
Vyrn: What on earth is that? Have you heard of one, (Captain)?
Rin: I guess (Captain) wouldn't be familiar with this sort of thing, either…
Rin: Oh… that's right. I'd like to know where I am right now. Could you tell me?
Vyrn: Well, this is Phantagrande Skydom, on the island of… um… err… Anyway, like you can see, it's a teensy little island.
Rin: Hmm. And what are you all doing on this island? Why have you come?
Vyrn: We're on a quest to take out that green Primal Beast. Seems it's been springing up all over the place.
Rin: I see…
Rin: (Phantagrande Skydom? Quest? Primal Beast?)
Rin: (This can't be Europe. And they're trying to exterminate… that big green thing just now?)
Rin: Well then, how about…
Rin began to shoot various questions at (Captain)'s crew.
Rin: OK then… So you're telling me the islands of this world float in the sky, and you guys are journeying around each and every one?
Vyrn: That's what we've been saying from the start! Geez, you're not exactly the sharpest girl, are you?
Lyria: Oh! Could it be, you've come here from a different world?
Rin: A different world, you say? I guess… that might be the case…
Rin: (I don't really know… but either way, I'm definitely really here right now…)
Rin: ( I have no idea what's going on, but if I'm here, that must mean…)
Rin: (Uzuki and Ranko are here in this world as well. If that's the case…)
Lyria: Now I think about it, your clothes do seem kind of unusual.
Vyrn: You think? Looks just like a regular swordswoman to me!
Rin: Hey… you guys are flying around all of the islands, right?
Vyrn: Uh-huh! We're basically heading toward this one island, Estalucia, Island of the Astrals!
Rin: Then… could you please take me along with you on your journey?
Rin: I've come to a different world. At least, that's what I'm guessing. There's still so many unbelievable things, but…
Rin: My friends might be caught up in the same situation as I am, you see.
Lyria: Your friends? Were you with them before?
Rin: Yeah, but we got separated. I'll bet they're feeling pretty lonely right now.
Rin: And if we don't all get back soon, Mr. Producer is going to worry about us, too…
Rin: So would it be all right for me to come along, just until I find my friends?
Lyria: In those circumstances… What do you think, (Captain)?
  1. Let's go together!
  2. We'll help you out!

Choose: Let's go together!
Rin: Thanks a lot! Heehee…I thought you looked kind, (Captain)!

Choose: We'll help you out!
Rin: Thanks. I hardly understand anything around here, so it's a great help.

Vyrn: All righty! Let's take care of the Primal Beast, and find Rin's friends on the way!

Never Forget: Scene 6

As they continue to defeat the mysterious creatures, Rin reunites Uzuki. The two are glad to see each other again, although Uzuki seems to be under the impression that their appearance in this other world is just part of the movie shoot.

Rin: Haaaa!
Mysterious Creature: Schnaaa…
Vyrn: Hey hey! That was pretty cool just now. You're really getting into the swing of things, aren'tcha?
Rin: Really? It still doesn't feel real, though.
Rin: Still, I'm surprised. When I swing this sword, some sort of blue flame comes?
???: Rin!
Rin: Huh? That voice!
Uzuki: Thank goodness! I've been so worried since we got split up!
Rin: Uzuki! What a relief. You seem lively still, at least.
Uzuki: Yeah! What a shock, though!
Rin: Well… yeah. I still find it hard to believe, but it looks like this different world is?
Uzuki: Amazing, right? The special effects we have these days!
Rin: Huh?
Uzuki: When I swing the sword it glows just like real magic, and those flying airships! I guess they're help up by wires or something…
Uzuki: I never realized it was such a high budget production. I'll have to put on a great performance to live up to the tech effects!
Rin: U-Uzuki? I think there's something you should know…
Uzuki: But it's a little different from the script. This green puppet came outta nowhere and I struck it with my sword. Was I meant to?
Uzuki: Oh! Those people behind you, Rin. Are they our costars?
Uzuki: Nice to meet you all! I'm Uzuki Shimamura. Pleased to be working with you on this production!
Lyria: I'm Lyria! Nice to meet you too!
Uzuki: Lyria? You have such pretty blue hair… If you don't mind me asking, where are you from?
Rin: (Sigh.) Look, Uzuki, you've got it wrong…
Uzuki: Eh? You mean they're not acting? Oh, I see! They must be staff, then!
Rin: (Sigh)
After calming Uzuki down a little, Rin explained to her how they ended up with (Captain)'s crew in their present situation.
Rin: …and there you have it. Until we find Ranko, I think we should stick with these guys.
Uzuki: I see now… This is a separate world that floats in the sky, and we were sent here…
Rin: I realize it's hard to fathom. I still think there's some kind of mistake myself, but…
Uzuki: Looks like they changed the script a little, but fear not! I, the undaunted hero Uzuki Shimamura, will play my part faithfully!
Vyrn: Hey… has this girl been listening to anything we've been saying?
Rin: Well… before we go on, guess I'd better try explaning the situation again…

Never Forget: Scene 7

The crew undertake an extermination job and arrive at one of the villages concerned. However, the mysterious creature has already been defeated by a woman calling herself the Demon Queen. Hazarding a guess at her true identity, Rin travels with the party to the Demon Queen's castle, where they find Uzuki's missing companion, Ranko Kanzaki. After persuading her to join them, Rin begins to search for a way to return to their original world.

Uzuki: This village was in the job description, right?
Rin: It's certainly one of the villages… Looks like the extermination requests have come from a lot of different places.
Lyria: Something seems a little strange, though. Everyone seems troubled…
Vyrn: Well, there's a Primal Beast on the rampage, after all! I'd say that's a pretty natural reaction!
Rin: Anyway, let's ask someone what's up. I guess we should start with the mayor?
Mayor: Welcome, Skyfarers! Thank you for answering our plea.
Vyrn: Heh heh! We've got a job to do, after all. And it's not like a Skyfarer to ignore someone in need!
Mayor: I really am most grateful, but… I'm afraid that the green Primal Beast is already… gone.
Rin: What do you mean? Don't tell me the people of the village…?
Mayor: No, it wasn't us. I'm not quite sure how to explain it, but…
The Mayor explained what happened to (Captain)'s party.
Uzuki: The Demon Queen Brynhildr?
Mayor: …is what she called herself. Her speech was antiquated, and she could fly. Further, it was she that fell the Primal Beast.
Mayor: Or so I was informed by the villagers who fled back here after encountering the green Primal Beast.
Rin: ………
Lyria: I wonder what kind of person she is. Bryn… Brynhildr, was it?
Mayor: Indeed. She also called herself the Wounded Princess of Cruelty. She made use of many such majestic expressions.
Vyrn: The Demon Queen Brynhildr, huh? She seems super strong. This could be pretty bad.
Vyrn: I dunno what she is, but maybe we should take a rain check on this job…
Rin: Um, about this Demon Queen… I think she might be someone we know…
(Captain)and the crew visited the old castle on the outskirts of the village, where the Demon Queen was said to reside.
Vyrn: What I wanna know is, how is it you're on personal terms with this Demon Queen?
Vyrn: Are there many types of "pop stars," just like with Skyfarers? Demon queens, swordswomen…
Uzuki: Ahaha… That's not quite it…
???: Mwa ha ha… To think that you would willingly set foot upon this land, the very ground of the Demon Queen herself…
Vyrn: Wh-who's that? Where's this voice coming from?
Ranko: Very well. I shall deign to greet you pitiable creatures!
Rin: …Ranko.
Ranko: Wha? Ye swordswoman clothed in blue? And yonder red heroes?
(Rin? And Uzuki too!)
Uzuki: Thank goodness! You're OK too, Ranko!
Ranko: And the assembly lurking in the shadows , emanating ethereal light… What manner of beings be they?
(Who are those guys?)
Rin: They're called skyfarers. They're the ones who helped us get here.
Rin: Anyway, I'm glad we've found you. Come on, let's head back together.
Ranko: I… I shall not go thither!
Uzuki: Huh? What's wrong, Ranko?
Ranko: With the blessings of this land, my power has awakened yet further!
(I can use magic in this world!)
Ranko: Behold! These wings of darkest black!
(I can fly now!)
Ranko: Thus, it is surely my place to govern this land!
(So I'm not going back!)
Rin: Ranko, you have to come back!
Ranko: But…
Rin: If you stay here by yourself, Mr. Producer's going to worry about you, you know.
Ranko: Th-the master of my contract…
(The producer…)
Uzuki: Let's go home together, Ranko! Then we can tell Mr. Producer about our adventure!
Ranko: Ugh… Very well. I'll go back!
Lyria: Uhh… Did you two just manage to persuade Brynhildr?
Vyrn: Wow… And I had no idea what that girl was even talking about…
Vyrn: Did you understand her, (Captain)?
  1. That vassal of darkness? Indeed.
  2. Not a word.

Choose: That vassal of darkness? Indeed.
Ranko: Could it be… thou possesses the eye also?

Choose: Not a word.
Uzuki: Um… You kind of get used to it after a while. She's really a nice girl!

Rin: Well, anyway, seems like everyone's here now.
Rin: Thanks, (Captain). If it wasn't for you, we probably wouldn't have been able to find each other again.
Rin: We'll try not to drag you guys down from now on. Let's go.
