| The beloved daughter of Ada, a woman sold into a life of courtesanship. Though Ada wished for her daughter to lead a better life than her own, she had no means of sending her daughter safely into the outside world, and until her dying breath, Ada never stopped worrying about Osada's future. A most unexpected blessing came when her good friend Garoza accepted the full responsibility of raising Osada as his own daughter.
