Overview

Lancelot and Vane are a solid self-sufficient unit with guaranteed multiattack, two damage skills, and self-healing to last in mid-to-long battles. Alternatively, they see use in one-turn, Charge Attack-based teams due to their C.A. effect and their C.A. DMG Cap-boosting EMP.

Strengths

  • Guaranteed multiattack for teams lacking in party-wide multiattack buffs, or in ones where other characters only buff themselves.
  • Can deal a tremendous amount of C.A. damage with the bonus damage from activating  Weiss Drachen2-hit, 300% Fire damage to a foe (Damage cap: ~310,000 per hit).

removes all debuffs from themselves, refills their HP, and provides extremely strong buffs for 5 turns.
  • AoE skill and single-target nuke make them useful for cleaning up mobs in multi-part battles or clearing Arcarum levels.
  • Boost to Hostility with Weiss DrachenSkill DMG, skill DMG cap, and hostility are boosted (Max: 6 / Can't be removed)
helps protect other party members, though it takes time to ramp up.
  • Sword/Spear weapon proficiencies fit in well for Atma/Ultima synergy.

Weaknesses

  • Low base Attack stat to compensate for their guaranteed multiattacks.
  • An Attack-type with an oddly defensive kit; Weiss DrachenSkill DMG, skill DMG cap, and hostility are boosted (Max: 6 / Can't be removed)

are too weak and stack too slowly to be reliable sources of DEF Down.
  • Have rather niche support skills, all geared around survivability and tanking attacks for the party despite lacking damage cuts and having an extremely long cooldown on their self-healing skill.

How to Play

  • Mid-to-Long Battles: Due to their guaranteed multiattack, they are best placed in either second or third position. At the start of battle, use  Weiss Drachen2-hit, 300% Fire damage to a foe (Damage cap: ~310,000 per hit).

gives a boost to their Skill Damage and Skill DMG Cap when the skill is recast on C.A.

Synergy

  • Ushumgal: A fully-uncapped Ushumgal provides a Skill Damage Cap-boosting weapon skill to synergize with Weiss DrachenSkill DMG, skill DMG cap, and hostility are boosted (Max: 6 / Can't be removed)
    .

Main Character

  • Mechanic + Summer's Mirage: Lancelot and Vane work well in Mechanic teams designed for one-turning battles, since they can break the damage cap with their EMP and C.A. effect. Summer's Mirage is one of the best Fire SSR Guns and free to obtain through Rise of the Beasts, Summer's Mirage is made for Mechanic teams—its second weapon skill boosts the party's C.A. DMG and C.A. DMG Cap, making it very powerful in conjunction with characters like Lancelot and Vane who have their own C.A. DMG Cap Up. Its C.A. effect allows the party to squeeze out more damage from a Chain Burst to maximize damage potential.

Gamewith's recommended EMP build for Lancelot and Vane.

Priorities

Critical and the C.A.-related EMPs take top priority. Afterwards, the selection is rather free; take 1★ in the Triple Attack nodes if needed. The EMP support skill and DEF nodes can be taken if Lancelot and Vane play a more defensive role in your party, but they aren't the best at it to start with.
