| Just like Yuel and Societte, Kou is a descendant of a royal family and successor to a sacred treasure and dance. This progeny of the ninth sovereign was meant to serve as a vessel for Ninetails—to die in order to resurrect the monstrosity. He fought fiercely against this destiny, but he eventually acquiesced after a childhood of brainwashing. The beauty that is Ebon Dance: Sakura Canvas is his own creation. The shadowy petals borne from this dance temporarily negate the power of all they come into contact with. Torn apart from his family at birth, Kou is seemingly oblivious to heartfelt emotions such as love and friendship, but he unconsciously yearns for them. |
